So are you saying you never got an e-mail with the subject line Start Planning your Walt Disney World Resort Visit‏ and that thanks you for choosing whatever resort you reserved? We just one of those e-mails this past Monday from the BWI IPO and when I scroll down there is a box which says Click here to begin your itinerary planning. Once I click that it opens a new window which is the IPO form to fill out that asks what method of transportation you are using, along with other questions regarding ADR's and etc.

Oh! I got that email a few weeks ago, I just thought it was more of a generic welcome email....I will have to go back and look at it more closely! The ipo emails I've always gotten from BC and AKL have been more personalized and direct from IPO, usually subject line of: Welcome xx Family / and included the questionnaire.....

I forgot to mention the IPO e-mail we got from the BWI also says Welcome xx Family. So it's safe to say all the IPO welcome e-mails start the same way.

Hi, We are returning to Poly CL this summer and we have one question about ADRs. Last time we made them ourselves but this time we were going to let the IPO CMs do them for us. How do you get them your credit card number for those reservations that require it? (I don't really want to include it in an email). Thanks

Easy, call! ;) That's how we did it.

A question - I have a Disney travel agent with whom I've worked 1/2 dozen times and she is fabulous. I'm staying concierge for the first time this year at the Poly. What would be the advantage to having the Poly book my ADR's, etc over my TA?

Mahalo. ;)

If you check in early in the morning (we are doing a split stay), can you use the lounge even if you do not have a room yet?

I got mine today! We are exactly 200 days out from our vacation :cool1:

I stayed concierge level at the WL June 2011 and it was wonderful. I am staying there again in March 2012 and want to take some sort of appreciation gift. I understand they cannot accept cash.

What are some ideas or things you have given the concierge staff in the past?

Thanks,
Pam

Could anyone tell me if you Yacht Club concierge lounge has a pod type coffee maker similar to the ones in the Atrium Club and RPC lounges? If not, what's the coffee like there?

Not sure, but the only other kind I saw was an even better one that is all internal. You literally just push a button and get what you want, and have about ten different options of latte, espressso, etc. The second kind doesn't need to be refilled nearly so often. They have the better kind at AKL, BWK, and BC. My guess is that's the kind they have at YC, since that's what i've seen at every other resort in that area.

I'm getting very close to booking our vacation 11/22-12/1. It's just me and my DH trying to declide between the 2 resorts. Without having to read through the entire thread. Isn't there some issue with the BC balconies, some smaller than others, we will probably book water view, maybe garden view...not sure yet. Any chance of getting a king bed? I have shellfish allergies. I thought I read somewhere one of these 2 put out alot of shellfish for the evening food? At both places are all the rooms all on the same floor as the lounge? Sorry so many questions.

Thanks so much

Stopping by to celebrate--convinced my DH to take a short trip in May. We'll be at our favorite: YC lagoon view club level! :woohoo: I spent the last 2 days planning & booked everything today: hotel, flights, even ADRs. I was so excited I didn't even wait for IPO for the ADRs. :rotfl2: Now all I have left to do is count down! :cool1:

Hi! I haven't stayed at Beach Club, but have stayed at YC lagoon view club level many times. As far as I know, there are some smaller "standing only" balconies at BC. YC lagoon view has all full balconies. We haven't stayed standard or garden view, but I'm sure there are all full balconies there too. We have had a few king bed rooms, but I don't think there are many of them. You can request one if it is important to you. We are used to a queen at home anyway & being in a quiet location, away from the lounge & housekeeping is more important to us.

The only shell fish I remember is bacon wrapped scallops. If you do book club level, let IPO know about your allergy. I'm sure they will work with you so you'll be able to have something available you can eat.

All the regular club rooms are on the 5th floor at YC or BC. Deluxe rooms & suites may be on a different floor.

Have fun planning! :goodvibes

Great thanks, as long as it's not regular Nescafe I'll be happy :surfweb:

The machine might say Nescafe on it....and it may indeed be Nescafe coffee - but I think this is true for all coffeee served on WDW property - even at the espresso bars.

I did not put that in my original post though because there is no comparing what you get in the lounge latte machines to what you get in those refillable mug dispensers. If you've ever bought a coffee at one of the espresso bars on property, I think it's more comparable to that. Maybe not quite as good a fresh made latte from a full blown professional machine, but better grade coffee than the refillable mugs.

I'll put it this way, when folks ask about the value of paying for club level - the first thing that pops in my mind is the latte machine! I always think, "This coffee is SOOOOO worth whatever extra we paid!" :)

(I say this as someone who has tried every option; including: the in room coffee makers with Parmalat milk, the Starbucks coffee bar at the Dolphin, and coffee from the Hess stations.)

I made a reservation for a YC club level room last weekend and have not received an email from IPO. Is this normal? Should I wait or give them a call? My husband and I are going the end of April to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary and I would like to have that noted on our reservation as well as request a room with a king bed. We have stayed at the BC many times and are so excited to stay at the YC!!!
