Sorry some are blurry I am not a very good photographer but I'll post them anyway.

Thank you for your lovely photos, Anne!

Merry Christmas to all!

Have you ever wondered why the Innkeeper's Club Level lounge for the Boardwalk Inn is located on the 4th floor, along with the majority of their Club Level rooms and not on the 5th floor. Well I finally asked this question to one of their Club Level Cast Members and was told originally the Boardwalk Inn was not going to have Club Level rooms when it was being built, so it was a last minute decision to add them. That's also why they are not like the Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Yacht Club and Beach Club which all have their Club Level rooms/lounges on the top floors of their main buildings making them a secure floor accessed in the elevators with your Key To The World cards.

Thanks for the info,I'd always wondered that :thumbsup2 -I guess a bonus with the 4th floor is the boardwalk views as opposed to the 5th floor finishing before the actual boardwalk but I do miss not having a separate floor. Am thinking of spending some time at your other favourite place the CR CL so will be reading up a lot in preparation :goodvibes

We just returned from our WDW wedding/honeymoon/Christmas trip. We did a split stay for our honeymoon of Wilderness Lodge CL (honeymoon"suite") & Polynesian CL-everything and everyone was wonderful (especially our favorite CM there, Barbie). We completely fell in love with the Poly. Wilderness Lodge CL was nice as well, but it definitely felt like a downgrade from the Poly, even though the WL portion of our trip was more expensive.

Please feel free to ask any questions if you have any about these two resorts!

Thank you for posting this information. I wonder why they initially felt that BWI shouldn't have a CL? It would have been the only Deluxe without one.

Having the CL lounge on a different floor than the room is a negative for us, as we prefer to stay on the floor which has keyed-access.

Congratulations on your marriage! Just curious, when you say that the Old Faithful Club was a downgrade, what do you feel was downgraded? Do you mean the room size or the lounge? And, when you say that it was cheaper at the Poly, were you in a Garden View room?

I said the exact same thing about them being the only Deluxe Resort without Club Level rooms, so that was a surprising thing to hear.

Don't forget like I said before when staying at the BWI in a Standard Club Level Room your room will be on the 4th floor past the door which says Innkeeper's Club which is keyed-accessed and the 4th floor is where the lounge happens to be located.

Thank you!! Our wedding was fantastic! :) I feel really bad even calling it a "downgrade" but it definitely felt like one. Please don't get me wrong though-the Old Faithful Club was fantastic-great food offerings, food always fresh and replenished. The sitting area surrounds the edge of the 7th floor overlooking the lobby with windows that face the pool, which was very nice.....though it did get quite warm up there. We just preferred the feel & the atmosphere of the Poly-we felt that that Poly staff were more laid back and genuine, while the WL staff seemed more polite but distant. The Honeymoon "suite" was a big waste of money-the room seemed smaller than a regular room-it was very squished and just not as cozy or themed as we were expecting. Mousekeeping was just OK-we were pretty annoyed when they forgot about us one day & I know not to expect the towel animals, but after getting 2 every day at the Poly, we were slightly bummed not to receive them anymore. The HM "suite" was also very outdated. We ended up having to unplug the clock to plug in one of our cell phones. WL was nice and I'm sure it's another person's cup of tea, but it just did not have that comfy peaceful feel that the Poly had.

We were in a Garden View room at the Poly, though the view was quite pretty, overlooking palm trees and exotic flowers & a walkway, with the quiet pool to the left. The HM "suite" at the WL was VERY pricey for what we got-huge waste of money.

Subbing since we upgraded our Poly stay to CL right after Christmas! Can't wait for our trip in a month:cool1:

CR Resort FAn 4 Life do you still travel with your parents? My daughter is a college student, and she has a hard time with the whole family trip thing. She loves staying at the CR and being Club Level, but what things do you suggest for the late teen early 20's age group? I see you have been a member here for a while, and I remember you being in college. Are you still? I am planning a new trip for next Christmas, and I need some help.

Congrats! And thank you for your review! Glad you hd a magical honeymoon :goodvibes

Just got back from a CL stay at the Poly from December 9-12th. It was awesome. The view from the lounge cannot be beat! It was never really crowded and we could always find a table. Here's an update on some of the offerings I can remember:
Friday: Crab Rangoon and Meatballs in some sauce with pineapple (sorry can't remember the sauce)
Saturday: BBQ Pork Skewers (SOOOO GOOD!!!) and an Edamame Salad
Sunday: Ginger chicken wrapped in bacon
Monday: Sushi. I know California Roll was one of them
There was also vegetable spring rolls but I can't remember if it was Saturday or Sunday.
Also every night had 3 different cheeses, assorted crackers, fruit, pineapple with caramel sauce, pb and j's, mini corn dog nuggets, pitas and 2 different spreads, 3 different wines, 4 different beers, and a alcoholic fruit punch (also delicious!!). Desserts were a banana bread, coconut macaroons, carrot cake, a raspberry creme that was served in shot glasses, brownies, a chocolate macaroon type cake thing and cookies.
Overall it was very good! We will definitely be returning!! :thumbsup2
