Unfortunately decision has now been made as no more TPV CL Poly rooms through Disney UK for my dates, :sad1:, but on a positive note at least it made my decision a little easier lol - so have booked the last 3 nights at the GF.

I'm going to take a stroll along the Poly beach to watch Wishes though :cloud9:

I was going to suggest RPC. If I were to go solo (at 52), I'd choose RPC. It's elegant and quiet. Besides if it's raining or very hot, you won't have to leave the main building to get to your room.

Thank you - this is why I love the Disboards, everyone 'understands' my tweaking issue. :goodvibes

Clare-All I can say is "YOU ARE MY HERO":thumbsup2 I am still counting the times that you keep changing:) sfbank and I have a week to go before we go on our new adventure with staying CR-CL:love:
I hope you have a great time staying Club Level at the Contemporary and I am sure you will enjoy it.

The only sign I have seen in any of the lounges when it comes to laws regarding Beer says you need to be at least 21 to drink them and I have never seen one that says there is a limit on how many Beers you can take out of the lounge.

My experience is from Poly where you have to ask for it-at least that was the way it was everytime I stayed there. I don't know if they put it out now. I thought it might be the case in the parks too when you're paying for it but I'm not sure. I've never tried taking more than 2 from any of the CL lounges where it is self serve.

I still can't decide where to stay for my next trip in May 2011. It is a big birthday trip for me with just a few girl friends. On one hand I would love to stay at AKL CL and do the sunset safari but those rooms can be hard to book with a discount and if the discount is the 25% like currently and BWI is 40% then it would cost about the same to do BWI CL and it would be nice to be able to walk to Epcot on an adult trip. I've got CR CL on the list too because that was really nice and I only stayed there 3 nights so it would be nice to return.

Well this was not at the parks but a few years ago at Gasparilla's Grill & Games which is the Grand Floridian's counter service location, I was waiting in line to pay for something and this person was trying to purchase 4 bottles of Beer. Well the Cast Member asked to see her ID and said she could only purchase two Beers. So she had someone else in her party purchase the other two. I don't remember seeing any signs limiting the amount of Beer any guest can purchase. The only law sign I saw said that Beer could not be purchased by anyone from 2:00 AM - 6:00 AM.

I've finally decided, after much tweaking :rolleyes1, to go for a split stay in Nov 2011, 5 days at an Epcot resort (most of you know where lol) and 3 days at a MK resort. I'm seriously torn between the GF RPC and the Poly, TPV CL room.

I really cannot decide so here's where you guys fit in ..... as a 'solo' 40 (and a little bit) year old female where would you choose?

The first 5 days will be spent mainly at Epcot for Food & Wine, the remaining 3 will be spent a little bit at MK, but mainly relaxing and shopping.

I've had several trips to WDW with a split between an Epcot resort and a MK resort. It's great since you get both experiences, plus you'll get all the transportation benefits both have to offer.

I've stayed both RPC and Poly CL TPV and I have to say that if it were just me on a solo trip I would absolutely book GF RPC. I would feel more secure in the main building, plus there is less walking back and forth to your room at the end of the day.

Just my 2¢... They are both nice, though.

We have been home about a week from our stay at the Grand Floridian, Sugar Loaf. I am ready to return.

I must admit that some of the info here on the DIS had me quite concerned about the lounge area and offerings, but all of that was washed away on our first day. When we arrived the mid-day snacks were out and I was surprised at the variety of offerings. Linda who was working in the lounge area made us feel very welcomed and told us to let her know if we needed anything. The lounge area stayed clean throughout our stay. Most of us cleared our own tables, but I did see some people leave their mess to be cleared by the staff.

The offerings were constantly replenished, I don't remember a time that empty trays were not replaced.

This was our best experience with Disney to date. If you have any questions concerning GF or SL, I will try to answer.

Hello,

I emailed IPO last night and asked if online check in was necessary.

Here is the response I got, it had a lot of info in the email, so I thought I would share.

It is not necessary to do on-line check-in, but by doing so, your check-in time can be shorter, since you would have verified your names, address and credit card on file (if you want charging privileges) before arriving and you would only have to sign the registration card. In some cases, we may have to recut card keys, but this is a quick process.

If your room is ready for you upon arrival, your Curbsider (the person who meets you at the front of the resort) will complete the check-in process in your room. If your room is not quite up to standards when you arrive, the Curbsider will take you and the family to the Lounge area to complete the check-in (food and beverages are available most hours of the day), leave us a cell phone number and we will call or text you when the room is ready. You will have your room keys and may begin your day at the parks if you already have tickets, can relax in the Lounge or pool area, or may chat with the Club Level Desk Cast Member about your stay (dining, tickets, transportation options or other questions you may have.

If you have made any dining reservations on your own, please send us the locations and reservation numbers, as we like to include a full itinerary as part of your Club Level Welcome Packet. Any reservations not made through this office do not automatically appear in our system.

Also, please let us your travel information (arriving by personal vehicle, Disney's Magical Express/flight landing time, limousine, etc.) and approximate arrival time at the resort so we can anticipate your approximate arrival time at the resort to meet you then.

Should you have any other questions prior to your arrival, please let us know. We look forward to seeing you on the 25th, and until then, have a *Grand* day!

I am so excited for my trip!!

Lisa

I am leaving for Disney in 5 days, staying at AKL CL. Is there anything that I should do or plan on bringing that isn't a normal every disney trip thing??

I have all the ADR's, contacted IPO, done online check-in and made DF order as well as private dining order of a plate of goodies. Is there anything else, specific to AKL CL that I should check on or make sure they have ready? Is there anything that I should ask for when we get there??

Thanks for any help!! :)

It sounds wonderful :goodvibes

I just checked our e-mail and we got something from the Boardwalk IPO Cast Members. They noticed how we haven't made any dining, recreation or transportation reservations with them, so they sent us an attachment of the standard welcome letter everyone should get. Well since were driving down we don't need any transportation help. As for any ADR's we are not the type of people who know where we want to eat 180 days before and a lot of times we change plans at the last minute. Plus we like eating in the lounge, various counter service locations, the Kona Island Sushi Bar at the Polynesian and we have some favorite offsite restaurants we always go to. One thing I can say it's highly doubtfull we will be booking any recreation reservations. Still it's great getting this e-mail from them because we haven't got this from the Contemporary IPO Cast Members during our previous stays there.

It sounds like you have everything under control. :goodvibes

We always bring binoculars to watch the animals.

Just back last night from another wonderful stay at the BWI. We had a wonderful time, as always. My niece and 3 of her friends were so very impressed with the cast, the service and just everything!! They ran the 1/2 marathon and had a ball.

Love bugs were almost all gone when we left. We really never had an issue with them except for the 1st couple days. Had room 4235, BW view right across from the lounge. We only went into the parks for 4 out of the 8 days there. We had just been there in August, so parks were not high on the priority list. We did attend the Halloween Party on Tuesday the 28th. I loved the parade. We really had fun.

Glad to hear your stay was great as usual. A week from today I will be there and can't wait!:woohoo:

Sounds fabulous :goodvibes I just wished I live closer to Disney and I'd be there more often.

I had the room next door (4237) in May, wasn't it a superb location - loved just nipping over to the lounge to get a drink then back again to sit on the balcony watching the events on the boardwalk below. :cloud9:

Welcome Home;) and back to reality:sad2: We have had that room twice now and love it. As sfbank said, we have 1 week to go for our new adventure. Of course we will be visitng our favorite resort and cast.:cool1:
