We just got back from staying both Contemporary CL and Poly CL and let me just say that we loved every minute of it!!!

We only had one disappointment and that was checking into CR on Friday morning. We wanted to get a full day at the park so we got there at about 7am. Unfortunately, there was only one CL CM working at the time so they had us check in at the main check in instead of coming down to get us. I was really looking forward to being escorted upstairs to check in, BUT that was all put to rest when we walked off the elevator and the CL CM was standing there with our welcome letter to greet us by name right off the elevator.

In contrast, we arrived the next day at Poly at about 11am and they had our stuff ready and a golf cart there to get us before DH was back from parking the car!

Our rooms were ready right at check in both times which was fantastic!

Anyone know if the club level lounges have bread and toasters at breakfast? And, if so, what they offer to put on it? My son is on a toast kick. Toast and peanut butter have been his breakfast of choice for months now.

Hi MissLiz,

Can you give any details on your Poly CL stay? How were the CM's, the snacks, the wine and cordials, the view?

Staying there at the end of October for two nights and just want any current info you are willing to supply.

Thanks.

Trisha.

There have been toasters at every lounge we've been in. I think it's pretty common. I've seen everything from bread to bagels that can be toasted. I know they have cream cheese and butter available, and I've also seen little single-serving packs of peanut butter as well.

Sure!

They were usually 2-3 CMs on the 1st floor at the desks and, if I recall correctly, 2-3 in the lounge.

Breakfasts were the usual cereal, pastries, oatmeal. You could get chocolate milk and yogurt, but you had to ask for it.

Snacks were kind of limited in the afternoon, I thought. There was fruit, cookies, one savory: popcorn, Chex-type mix, etc.

We missed a lot of the evenings since we had dinner ADRs.

Now this isn't all inclusive, but we did see that they had Kona Longboard beer, Heineken, one white and one red wine. Let me think back on the cordials. I'm know they had Kahlua and Amarula because the one CM made a killer drink with that. They also had the punch, but I'm not sure what other cordials there were.

Hello,

Well, indecision is my middle name. My mother and I have booked our disney vacation for January 2011. We could not decide where to stay, we wanted to do EVERYTHING!!! and believe me at some point or another I think we have been booked into every resort on property, all categories...no joke... :rotfl2:

Well I think we finally found a happy middle ground. We booked the majority of our trip at GF RPC Standard view.

Just had my first CL visit @ the Atrium Club and it was amazing!!! We are so looking forward to the RPC!!!

BUT...my mom and I had such a difficult time deciding on a resort that we decided to do a bit of a split stay, we are certain we are Magic Kingdom resort area people...at least for this trip, so we booked our first night at the CR Atrium Club Park View, 6 nights at GF RPC, 1 night @ WL CL and our final night at the Poly CL Lagoon View. This way we will experience all of the MK resorts and their club levels and in future will be able to make a decision based on our experiences.

As a side note we will have our own car so moving from one resort to another will be relatively easy.

I guess my question to all of you DIS club level specialists is are we crazy? or does our warped logic make some sense? BTW I plan to take lots of pictures and hopfully post a trip report.

Thanks for all the info, photos and inspiration, this board has gotten me through some very rough work days!

Yes! You are crazy! :rotfl2:

But it sounds like a fun trip! I know you and your mother will enjoy all of those CL stays! :goodvibes

I've read a few posts now about AKL CL going downhill.:confused::confused:

We were just there in April and I loved it - have things changed since then? I am looking at changing our US/IOA ressies over to either AKL CL or a 1 bdr at OKW so I'd kind of like to know.... :flower3:

:rotfl: We tend to have split-stays because we have the same problem. ;) I prefer to split it a bit more evenly, because I think that one night isn't long enough at any one place (and I don't mind moving, but I like to space it out a bit). But that's totally personal preference. I think you'll have a great time and get a change to try all the MK resorts!

GF RPC is really lovely, and the views from Poly CL (IMO) can't be beat! Have a wonderful trip!

:scared1: Say it isn't so!!! We absolutely love AKL CL... :cloud9:

Can you describe this?

It was almost like a Kahlua and cream (what are those called?), but better!! I'm not sure what he mixed together since my MIL got the first one and brought it back to the table and then went back to tell the CM that we all wanted one.

It had a little more kick than a Kahlua and cream and it was yummy!

This may be a dumb question but does Club really stop serving beer/wine at 7pm? Is it possible to ask for it if you get there at like 7:30 or so? Just curious.:confused3

THanks
Ana

Recently they added a fridge to the entrance of the lounge and at 5:00 PM they stock all their Beers in there and they are not taken out until 10:00 PM and it's the exact same thing with the Wine, because it's kept in a bucket right next to the fridge. So you can just go and take what you want.

Last night I was reading the reviews of the Club Level service at the Boardwalk on Allearsnet and one of them I read the person mentioned getting an upgrade to their Garden Suites when they checked-in. Now after personally taking a tour of what they look like my family and I wouldn't accept an upgrade to one of those rooms because we didn't like their location if that ever happened to us, because we just didn't like them that much and we are not fans of where they are located. Now don't get me wrong the rooms are still nice and they are great for those who want to be in a quiet area of the Boardwalk and I know you still get the lounge access with them, however it seems like to much of a walk just going to the lounge and etc. So if anyone here was told they got upgraded to that specifc room would you want to accept it?
