Just back yesterday from BWI CL and GF RPC.

It was a great trip and I was once again impressed with the service at BWI. We had a deluxe room which was great, and had a lovely Boardwalk view. :goodvibes

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed CL at GF. I wasn't looking forward to staying there, but ended up really enjoying it. The bad part was that we had a great view of my beloved Poly. :upsidedow I was going through serious Poly withdrawal the whole stay.

So if anyone has any questions I might be able to answer some of them.

Oh, and I started a TR too - the link is in my siggie. :goodvibes

Welcome back and it was great meeting you and talking with you on the Boardwalk lounge.

I booked CL at BC for October 2011. I'm just wondering when I should contact IPO, what I should say in my email, etc. Also, when should I send them my list of ADRs since my ADR time won't be until around March. Has anyone used IPO to make their reservations? I'm nervous about them getting me the times/places that I want and not doing it myself :scared1:!! Thanks for any help :thumbsup2!

I've used IPO 3 times now to make my ADRs and never had a problem. For our upcoming Dec. trip, I have been particularily impressed with the BC/YC IPO CMs. (wow, that's a lot of acronyms!) Anyway, prior to 180 days, I had requested dining ADRs and also included my request for the Wishes Dessert Party (which had not been extentended yet and could not be booked) and the Candelight Processional (same). They noted the requests, but were unable to book them at 180 days. They did get our other requests right at 180 days. My only wish would be for a slightly later time for Cali Grill, but everyone wants to eat at the same time as the fireworks, so that won't happen. No biggie--we'll watch from the observation deck if we have finished eating.

Fast forward: A month or so ago, I read here on the DIS on a Sun. that the Wishes Dessert Party had been extended to include my trip dates. I wasn't sure IPO would come through for me or that any spots would be left, so I went ahead and booked it myself. Mon. morning I had an e-mail from IPO that they had booked it for me on the same night I wanted! I called IPO and we were able to cancel one of the bookings and I just got the CC statement and was only charged once.

Last week was the date to book the Candelight Processional. I almost forgot the date, actually, until I received an e-mail from IPO with our reservation made--the date, location, and time that I requested! I also received an updated itinerary with the two new ressie. numbers. I am so excited for our Dec. trip! It is a surprise Christmas gift to our children and I think these two additions will really help make it special.

I know lots of people prefer to make their own ADRs, but I wouldn't worry. I'm very pleased and would use IPO if I am lucky enough to stay CL again someday. (For the record, I have stayed at BC twice and our upcoming trip is at the YC. We were originally booked at the GF SL, but switched prior to 180 days.)

Hope you have a great trip!

Thanks so much- you have put my mind at ease! One of the reasons I chose CL was so the could deal with reservations and MNSSHP tickets when they went on sale. Also, we are taking AMTRAK so no ME. . .I will need them to arrange transportation for me. I was starting to think about it too much and getting nervous about them remembering to make all of these reservations! We are also staying YC/BC so I hope we have the same good luck :) How early did you send them an email with your requests? Should I send it in Jan/Feb for March reservations? Thanks so much for your help and I hope you have a great Christmas trip!!

I prefer to make my own ADRs. I need that instant result. If something isn't available, I can see it instantly and move on to another dining choice. That said, IPO is great for when you can't get what you want. Sometimes they've been successful where I have failed (but not always). Don't worry. They're awesome and they provide (relatively) quick replies.

No problem! I'm happy if I can help! As far a timing goes, I would send an e-mail now (include your conf. # in the subject line) introducing yourself and your family and then follow up with more detailed ADR/MNSSHP requests at least a week prior to your 180 days. That's what I have done and, knock wood, it has worked so far! If you have any really popular ADR requests, it might be helpful to have an alternate or I have always given a pretty broad time range, ie: 6-7:15. (if it would work in our day's plans) That way, if 6:00 is booked, they know that 7:05 will be acceptable. Saves some phone calls and may get you the ADR you really want as opposed to a 2nd choice. As with most things, flexibility can be helpful. Keep in mind, that for some ADRs or special events (Wishes Dessert Party, safari, tours, etc.) you'll need to provide a credit card num. Do NOT put it in an e-mail to IPO--call and have them add it to your profile. Then they can book things quickly and not have to wait for a call from you with the CC#--I'm sure that's what helped w/my Wishes Dessert Party. They already had my CC# so they could make the ADR right away--it is pre-paid, so they needed it to make the resv.

Have fun planning!

We just got back late last night form a 10 day stay at the WL-CL. It was amazing!!! Every single CM up there was great!!

Thanks for all you help :worship:!!

I did the same thing. I had a WDTC/CRO reservation for Christmas and saw the great Expedia deal on Mousesavers. I booked the Expedia promo. and canceled my WDTC reservation. This is the first time I have ever not booked through the WDTC, so I was a bit nervous.

About one week or less after I booked through Expedia, an additional confirmation number appeared on my online Expedia confirmation. This is the actual WDTC confirmation that you can use. Check today and see if it's there. It will probably begin with the number 4 and will be called "hotel confirmation number." You can link to your itinerary via the Expedia confirmation e-mail you received.

I booked through Expedia on 8/18, all it says under the hotel confirmation number is: confirmed.

Do you think I should call Expedia?:confused3

I assume you've paid in-full? If not, that may be the problem.

I received a second e-mail from Expedia a few days after booking that had an "updated intinerary" link. This is what my booking looks like under the "HOTEL" heading of my online itinerary:

Expedia itinerary number: 1XXXXXXXXXXXX
Hotel confirmation number: 4XXXXXXXXXXX

The "hotel confirmation #" is the WDTC/CRO reservation number.

Thanks for the information. We paid in full and never received an updated itinerary link/email from Expedia. Mine online itinerary page looks exactly the same as your except instead of a number after the hotel confirmation number is just states confirmed. Hmmm.:sad2:

Hmm... Then I'd give them a call or send an e-mail. Good luck and let us know what happens.

I see that you have stay at POR and CL at WL. I am haveing a hard time with deciding between POR(our only MOD and only resort out side POP) In-wich we really love!!!:lovestruc and CL at a Delux. My question Is from your experince with POR and Its beautful setting ,Is It a place you could pass up for a Delx CL?.
If any one else has any oppions anyor any help, that would be great

thanks.

Personally, I think a deluxe CL will always win out over a MOD! :goodvibes Looking forward to our Deluxe CL stay at the POLY this FEB! :lovestruc
I truly enjoy the Club Level ammenities, and I also don't think I'd ever want to stay NON-CL....My first CL stay at AKL in Jan 2008 has spoiled me forever from staying non-CL.....I will always pay to upgrade, it's just the style of vacation our family enjoys! I hope you enjoy wherever you decide to stay and have a wonderful vacation!

Just spoke with Expedia...they don't know how come I don't have the reservation number from Disney. They have to call a special wholesale department at Disney that is only open normal business hours, so it will have to wait until Tuesday. Eek, I hope everything is ok with the reservation

Although I loved the setting of POR too (the closest thing to the WL in the moderate catagory) I didn't care for the exterior entrances or the l-o-n-g walk to the main building. We could hear noisy people outside our room and it was COLD when we stayed there so those long treks to/from the main building for hot chocolate were a bummer. I much prefer the deluxes and once you stay Club Level you'll never wanna go back!

I'm glad that you called. It's frustrating that it's a holiday weekend, but I'm sure everything is just fine with your reservation and you'll have your CRO reservation number on Tuesday:thumbsup2

For the past few days I have been checking the Annual Pass rates and the fall/winter room only promotion rates and so far for my dates this December a Deluxe Club Level Room at the Boardwalk is not available. The specifc dates are December 9th - December 23rd. Now I plan to keep checking everyday because I know that's the best thing to do, but if it doesn't become available at least we still have our Standard Club Level Room at the Boardwalk already reserved which we got as a Bounceback rates, so I will still be happy with that. However I will admit having the view of the Boardwalk/Water area was great to have and the extra TV was nice. Anyway I was just wondering what anyone thinks the odds are of their Deluxe Rooms becoming available with either one of those discounted promotions with our dates? I also realize only so many rooms are available on each promotion, however the Deluxe Rooms are also sold out with the regular rates where no discounts are involved.
