A friend of ours just did the WDE in May. She too said it was oppressively hot in the "climate controlled vehicle". She was very disappointed because she had done the WDE in December and loved it.

Same here, first time I'd done the WDE in December, perfect :), second time it was early May and we (my family) all left that bus feeling very overcome with the heat, I will do the tour again during a cooler month but for myself and my family we just found it too much in the heat.

Hmmm. We did the tour last December. In addition to the time of the year, there were only 6 guests on the bus. Awesome, right?

We went again this May with my sister and her husband to celebrate their first anniversary. Hot, hot, hot out (at least for us New Englanders). And a full bus. I was very nervous that we would experience what several folks have mentioned above.

And yet we didn't find it oppressively hot on the bus. Definitely not air conditioned like the freezing Disney transportation. But also not so hot that we were overcome. We all took water bottles. But I didn't even end up drinking mine. Must be that some of the buses are better than others.

I am just wondering does the lounge at the Boardwalk offers Sprite Zero with all their other drinks because my mom likes to drink it. If they don't have it then it's not going to be a problem because we can take some cans of it from the Contemporary lounge since I know they have it there, although if the Boardwalk did offer it then we wouldn't need to worry about taking them from the Contemporary.

The "ZEROS" are my favorite, too: Sprite and Coke.

Piggybacking a little here: I would like to know if the YC has them.

I have been on the fence on this one. I have one booked during our trip in August and almost cancelled it when I read some of the reviews. It sounds like the trucks do have AC but since the windows are down, it is not as effective. I think we will take our chances and do it anyway. My DD is a huge animal lover so it will be a really nice surprise for her. We have 10:00 booked so hopefully it won't be too horrible.

For those that have done it, I read other reviews that said they received fastpasses for the regular KS after doing the tour. Is that always the case, or was that a special circumstance? TIA.

you will get fast passes but i bet you 100 bucks you don't use them! :)

CR Resort Fan I realize you asked specifically about the BWI, but I wanted to tell you my experience with Poly CL as I too, drink Sprite Zero. I didn't notice it in the cooler with all of the other drinks so I asked the CM and they told me they normally do not stock it there. (they do at GF RPC) But the next time I went to the lounge, they gave me a six pack of it to take back to the room. They were very accomodating! So this may work for your mom if they also don't have it available.

ROFL - I'll bet you are right! But that is a "down" day for us anyway, in terms of park touring. So we will probably get to AK, get FP for EE and then head over for the tour. Maybe we will still be up for EE when we are done (or not, LOL). Thanks!

Just got back from a great stay at AKL CL. (May 28-June 4) Great room and view, and the lounge offerings were a big help in our busy days. Unfortunately, we left to go the the Dolphin for 2 days and did not have a good stay, altho loved the location. Both hubby and I said we wished we had stayed at AKL.

We have always received the FP's after each tour.

In December 2007 my family and I stayed Club Level at the Polynesian and we also noticed that, however they were also able to get some for my mom the way they got it for you.

Just an FYI, some of the resorts do not/cannot get the "zeros", but if you notify the IPOs and make your request (at least three weeks in advance) they will make the arrangements to provide your "zero" for you.

From personal experience, as I am a Coke Zero lover. :lovestruc

Goes the same for certain flavors of yogurts, etc.

HTH. :)

Well like I said before since we can get cans of Sprite Zero from the Atrium Club lounge at the Contemporary before checking into the Boardwalk then it's not a problem.

Hi! I recognize you from TGM forums. When are you doing the WDE? We are doing the 10am on August 12.

I was a little hesitant to book this too but I realized the majority of the reviews were very positive. And we don't go to WDW every year so we might as well give it a try.

Hope to see you in the lounge at the Poly!

Cathy

Oh darn, we will miss you by two days. We are going at 10am on the 10th.
But that will be cool if we will run into each other at the lounge. I will be sure to have my TGM button on :)

. I'm still holding out hope to get my 7th night in a deluxe, so I may be able to stay put. ;)

Maybe after next Sunday, (June 6th) they'll have some more inventory for my dates, because that's when the guests with packages will have to payoff their balances. :thumbsup2 Wishful thinking? ;)

No, not wishful thinking...just keep checking everyday. The inventory changes constantly...many people put courtesy holds and never deposit. And, yes, when 45 days prior..final payment comes..there may be some cancellations. Good luck!

I was finally able to get it yesterday! Yay! Seven nights, deluxe club level, BWI. I was so excited when the cm said she could do all seven nights, since it wasn't showing as available to book online. Now I can stop having to look at either moving rooms for the last night, or going home early. :cool1: Persistance or should I say, obsession, pays off! :rotfl:

Thanks for posting this! The desserts looked a little scimpy to me though? ;) :rotfl: But then I am a sweets fanatic. ;)

That is just the afternoon offerings the 11:00 to 1 or whatever that odd lull of time is. evening desserts are awesome!

Ohhh...I thought that was the night offerings, the part when the video shows the rice krispie treats and the other two NON-CHOCOLATE desserts. :rotfl: The video shows those desserts right around the time it shows the cordials, so I thought it was night. (I'm just joking around anyways.) ;)
