Having to move rooms would be icky to say the least. It seems that you'd not have a hotel room for part of the day? IDK, just glad not have to deal with that! :rotfl: I can't wait to go! I'm sure we'll see each other in the Innkeeper's club. :thumbsup2

I had this funny Disney Math thought this morning. Maybe I should give up on the idea of a deluxe room and buy a new camera instead.:rotfl: I have a nice Nikon dSLR but have decided not to bring it this time. It will save so much room in my carryon to just leave it at home and it is heavy to drag around and have to worry about it in the rain. I have a cheap point & shoot but was looking at small point & shoots (fit in your pocket) with 10x zooms. I wasn't sure I could "justify" the purchase but it would be cheaper than upgrading to a deluxe room.

I finally called yesterday to settle the rest of our dining plans. The only thing I couldn't book was an early breakfast at Crystal Palace on our first morning. I could get it later in the week but I might keep trying for the first morning.

I think we're going to go see Toy Story 3 next Friday when it opens. Then it will only be 1 month til our trip. I'm sure it will be here before we know it!:yay:

Awesome! That's what I drink too - I get headaches from caffeine. Did you just call the front desk or the concierge desk or somewhere else? We're at the Poly, so hopefully they'll be able to accomodate me there :thumbsup2

I request (through IPO) that caffeine free soda be available when we stay at the Poly. The CM's are always glad to get some for me (it's kept in the back) but for the life of me I don't know why they don't keep some in the cooler like AKL CL does.

Having them stock your room fridge (if they'll do it) would be ideal.

I have a Nikon D40 slr and it does weigh me down sometimes. ;) I also have a Canon sx100 with the 10x zoom and I do like it. I usually bring both and end up usually just using my Canon because it's so much lighter. :thumbsup2

I'm always doing Disney math, we're going to get a car rental because we were originally doing the DXDP, but now that we really only need to eat a TS lunch it seemed pointless. So I'm using the savings to get a car, since it will make it easier to get to a park faster, after dragging Cinderella from her beauty sleep aka my daughter. :rotfl:

What should I put on room request for AKL for Zebra Trail if we are staying CL level and want easy access to elevator to pool and the lounge?

We check in at BC CL in less than a week :banana::banana:

I do have a question....we plan on using our KTTW cards in the parks/restaurants and will secure it at BC with a CC. If we want to pay the balance in cash vs the CC periodically during our trip would we go to the CL Concierge desk to do this or would we need to go to the lobby CM's for that. This will be our first CL stay and I am not sure. Not sure if we will do this, but in case we want to just wanted to make sure I knew where to do it. :goodvibes

Yes - you can just go to the concierge desk at the BC CL lounge and they will do it for you. We've done it with gift cards lots of times - before the $1500 gets charged to our AMEX card.

Thanks Robyn~

We are still debating if we are going to take cash or not. Since we have never stayed CL before, not real sure how things are done. I understand they handle check-in so I would assume they would take care of money related things, but I was not sure. :goodvibes

Another thing you can do if you bring cash. When we did our GG my oldest dd and her dh didn't want to charge anything - things were really tight for them back then (the trip was our treat). We had given them all $1000 in cash spending money along with the trip. She put most of it down on her KTTW card instead of a credit card. So if you are brining cash you can do that and not have to worry about carrying a large amount of cash around.

Hope you love BC CL as much as we do!

That's one of the great things about CL. They do it all! :thumbsup2

And are great doing it! I had a tower club CM go above and beyond trying to find my DD a SWW shirt when we were at CR. She stayed on the phone for I kid you not 20 minutes before she got an answer that satisfied her. Unfortunately we were unable to get the shirt, but she did get an answer!:lmao:

Has anyone stayed on the CR Atrium Club level floor for 4th of July and watched the fireworks from there?

We wouldn't normally consider a summer trip, but my husband might have to go to Orlando for business the week of 6/28. If so, I'll go and we'll make a Disney vaca out of it. I want to see the July 4th fireworks, but not from the park on July 4th. Just wondering how crazy crowded the lounge balcony is that night (no MK view rooms available at the AP rate, but Bay Lake view rooms are - so we'd have to watch from the lounge instead of our own room).

Thanks.

We will be there the same week - Atrium Club, Bay Lake view - we check in on July 1st.

They usually show the special MK fireworks on July 3rd also. What we did a few years ago, was go to the park on July 3rd to see them, then to Epcot on the 4th because they also do a special ending to Illuminations. This year we are doing a Wishes cruise on July 3rd and going to Epcot on the 4th.

You might want to try seeing them in the park on the 3rd.

I LOVE DISNEY!!!

So, some of you may remember me from a couple of months ago (especially those of you who had small heart attacks when I mentioned that IPO and CRO said my mom and gparents would be able to join us in the lounge).

Anyway, long story short:
Original CRO CM booked us two CL TPV rooms for Aug. 1-8; our trip is Dec. 1-8...oops.
Only able to get one room for December. :scared:
CRO/IPO CMs said family (mom, gma, gpa) could join the rest of us if I couldn't get another room (insert riot on this thread).
Weeeelllll...persistence paid off...and big!!
After weekly (or, uh, twice weekly...or more, whatever) calls, something opened up for December 2-7 (so, minus the first night of our stay). My gparents always stay a couple nights on base in Jacksonville before meeting us at WDW, so they've decided just to stay an extra night there and meet us on the 2nd. Oh...it gets better. :lovestruc I guess Disney must keep track of guest comm, and they said that since it was the original mistake of a CM, I was so persistent, etc., etc., they'd upgrade our second room at no extra charge!!!:banana::banana: This is just one of the reasons we keep coming back to WDW. :cloud9:

Now...all this pesky waiting. :upsidedow

I have not stayed there during July 4th but I can't see the balconies in the lounge getting to crowded because those with the Magic Kingdom View will watch the fireworks from their room.

Now that's customer service!

Arrived on Friday and if you guys remember i was so up in the air over repeating BWI CL or trying YC CL this time. My verdict on YC CL is fantastic. I much prefer it over the boardwalk (Clare, if you are reading, you are going to love this place!). Yes the lounge is tight but honestly it is never crowded and never a problem. Food offerings are same between BWI/BC/YC and good. I just love the key entry for 5th floor. My view is gorgeous!!!!!! I just adore this place and the 3 minute walk to Epcot cannot be beat. Oh did I mention Storm Along Bay???

In summary we are loving this place! Staff is super nice, mousekeeping has been terrific. YC CL is divine!!

:woohoo:WOW!!! That is great!!!:yay:

Just arrived home from my wonderful trip to the BWI! It was fantastic as usual. Zachary's birthday cake was amazing and we had his party in the lounge. It was wonderful being there with all my grandchildren.

We had several very nice conversations with Jeremy Bullouch, he played Boba Fett in the Star Wars movies. He and his wife were so nice. Zack shared his birthday cake with them.

Home already?

Sounds like a great trip!

Did cake come from BW Bakery? I need to order one for DH's bday in July. We arrive on the 18th and want to get the cake for the 22nd. I talked to the bakery in May and they said I could order it when I got there.
