I have to look into my next reservation. We booked a bounceback at 40% off for next Dec....TPV/CL. I am almost certain that the TPV was just $10 more a night than the LV/CL. As I said, I will go back and check.

I am also curious what rooms will be labeled TPV and LV. I also agree that mostly all the rooms on that side look to be unobstructed. Every time we've stayed on that side we had a castle view. :confused3

During value season a TPVCL is $170 more than a GVCL. $45 more than LVCL. With 40% off that is "only" $30 more per night after tax but $115 more than GVCL.

Thanks for the clarification. Now I don't have to go and look back! I guess w/ the 40% off code, the $30 more per night for 4 nts. wasn't bad to me....(which is why, I guess, I thought is was around $10 a night more).

I agree with others here.....I will NOT be paying for the TPV in the future w/o a deep discount. The rates are out of hand.

I think what bothers me most is that I could pay LESS per night and get a glorious room at a Four Seasons, Peninsula, Ritz Carlton, etc. While I love the CL rooms, you do not get what you pay for.

Hey everyone. We stayed at BC the 13th thru 20th of Dec and had a great stay. We only had trouble once getting a table for breakfast but it was later than we usually went so our bad.

Anyway, anyone else find that when you are on the Wildlife Discovery Excursion and are pulled over to the side to look at animals the other ride vehicles are more interested in you and why you get to stop then the animals? I can't tell you how many stares we got and how many people snapped pictures of our excursion van when there were perfectly wonderful animals RIGHT THERE to take pics of. My DH had a blast waving to them.

We were lucky enough to book a BB and get to stay at the club level BC again in May for an adults trip. Can't wait!!

LOL at the safari excursion - we found the same thing true as we did it on Dec 1st. That day the ostriches were stirred up and so we sat off to the side of the road, a few of the regular vehichles were stopped on the course due to the ostriches and the people kept staring at us, most likely wondering how we got over there, and missing the ostriches right in front of them.

We did have a fantastic time though - that wildlife excursion rocked, we had a great driver, Nick, and a great guide.

Okay--I did it! I spent an entire Sunday afternoon reading every single post to this thread!
I just booked GV CL at the Poly in Sept. 2010. We've stayed at the Poly 4 years in a row, and I was finally able to talk my DH into CL.

After reading, I've got some questions that I hope you experts can help me with.
I have always preferred the 1st floor at the Poly. How do you get to the lounge - is there an elevator? Are there any 1st floor rooms to stay away from?
What is the best time to go to the lounge if you want a good view of the Fireworks?
I always get up first in the a.m. and let my DH and DS sleep. Can I go to the lounge and bring some breakfast to the room for them?
Can you buy regular alcoholic drinks in the lounge? We're not beer or wine drinkers, but I'd love to be able to buy a martini in the evenings. Can the IPO get a bottle of vodka to have in the room? (Naturally we'd pay for it.)
Lastly, is there a certain time of day that is best to call the IPO for initial contact?

Thank you in advance to anyone who can answer my questions. My family is very excited about our upcoming trip! :)

Assuming you get a room on the 1st floor you can either take the elevator to the 2nd floor lounge or take the stairs.

I would try and be in the lounge 10 - 15 minutes before Wishes starts, although when I stayed there it wasn't that busy with other guests watching them over there.

They don't have anything like Martini's for sale or stuff like Vodka in the lounge, although they do have various liquor drinks available. However if you wanted to purchase your own alcoholic drinks and take them to the lounge then that's ok.

As for contacting the IPO I would either call them right away whenever you feel like it or also e-mailing them.

9 Days till our AKL CL Vacation! I'm so excited. It will be a great Disney start to the year!

How long are you there? I'll be there 1/20 to 1/27. Celebrating my DD's 7th birthday on the 21st with a Sunrise Safari.:cool1:

I'll be there from 1/20 to 1/24. My kids will be the loud ones in the lounge. Our first stay at AKL and our first CL stay - can't wait!

Hello all~

My DH just booked Sugarloaf for a trip this July. Our 180 day mark is coming soon (we check in on 7/9). The agent told him that concierge will be contacting us, but since we are very close to the ADR mark should I email them now? We'd like to book Cindy's Table and a few others that may be hard to get if we wait. What do you all think?

I would e-mail them now with your arrival date so they can be ready to book for you when the window opens. Especially since you want CRT. :)

For those with an upcoming stay at the Contemporary on their Atrium Club floor, here are pictures I took last month of what their current Beer and Liquors offerings were. Also remember there is always a chance the Beer offerings might change because I have noticed a few brands over our past few trips, however I don't think they have ever changed the Liquors.

Forgive me if this has been asked before (don't have the time or patience to peruse the thread for it & its not in the FAQs) but is there any advantage to doing OL checkin with a CL stay?

other than the obvious excitement?

The consensus has been that there isn't an advantage to online check-in at the CL. At CL you receive personal attention from the CMs for check-in and there is generally little to minimal wait times to do so. Of course, you could try it and see if that is your opinion. :thumbsup2

WE did online checkin, just because I was surprised to find it working (I have issues with WDWs sites), but were greeted as we walked in the door and escorted to the CL desk, when DH walked in a few minutes later ( he used self park) we were immediately taken upstairs.

I turn it all over to the capable hands at IPO. :thumbsup2 They haven't disappointed me yet as far as ADRs go. :cool1:

I think my hesitation is that I've changed our ADR's at least 15 times since I made them... it's easier for me to just hop online and see if I can get what I want, and then cancel the old one, rather than emailing my idea for a new ADR to the IPO and waiting to see what happens.
