Has anyone upgraded at check-in if available. If so which resort and how much per night? We are going in September.

While upgrading at check-in for a discount seemed to be the trend a year ago on these boards, I haven't seen too much of that posted recently. In fact, I've seen more people reporting that concierge levels were selling out.

We did try to upgrade in May 2004 for one night at the GF. They had availability, but we were quoted the difference between rack rates. No offer of savings there.

It doesn't hurt to try though.

I posted a long post last night, I guess it disapeared. :sad2: I kept getting "major" error problems last night.

Generally when you upgrade to concierge upon check in, the rate is the difference between the rack rate for your room and the rack rate for the concierge room.

For instance, if you are paying $100 per night, and your room at rack is $150, while the concierge rack is $175. You'll pay $25 per night.

This is just a rule of thumb, so not always 100% true. Just remember, often concierge rooms sell out in advance, so if you really want one, book in advance.

Last summer I upgraded two rooms at Wilderness Lodge for 4 nights for $50 per night each.
