Just wanted to confirm - when the 120-day booking window opens, I don't need to be online or do anything if I sent my requests in by email, correct? Also - do I need to request a table just for our family in the MDRs for dinners? Or is that automatic?

If you have sent you requests in you don't need to do anything at the 120 day mark. Seating on your own is automatic when in concierge, so you are good there too! Have a wonderful cruise!

I can't confirm this part. My wife and I only traveled once in concierge, in the Walt suite for her 60th birthday. We were stuck at a table of 15 for dinner. There were 2 families with 6 kids ranging from 3 months to 6 years. Fortunately for us, it was our 4 adult children and all their families pirate:

This exactly ^^ I love not having to worry about getting up at midnight and the website not working.

A related question - my 120 day window opens up in around two weeks. I haven't heard anything from the concierge team. I was almost expecting an email from them asking for my requests, but is it up to me to find their email address and contact them first?

I had this same question! This is our first cruise, and I wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything. I had planned to send an email right when the window opens regardless. My 120 day was today, so my 125 was June 13. They actually called me on June 8! I was excited to take the call, and they followed that up with an email that I responded to with a couple of questions and then my final request email that I sent on June 13. We went back and forth a couple of times clarifying everything. I did not log in last night based on the replies to this thread, and I got an email around 9:30 this morning confirming everything that was booked. We got everything we requested, and even got the cabana we requested (# 6 - based on youtube videos and photos, this seemed to be the location/view we wanted). It's been a great experience so far for us! I hope you experience the same thing.

Great, thanks so much for your reply! I don't have any tricky requests, other than the cabana, but I'd hate to pay the extra $$ for concierge and somehow miss the early booking window benefit.

If you don't hear from them, I recommend drafting your request email ahead of time, and then sending it at 12:01 am on your 125-day mark. My experience has been excellent - quick responses and great information. Very helpful. If you'll feel more comfortable, I'm sure you could just call a few days prior to your 125-day mark if you haven't heard from them and get some guidance on the best way to proceed.

Vtwep hit it the nail on the head. :thumbsup2

Concierge sends an email and sometimes calls around the 130 day mark... I have never received a phone call but have always gotten an email (some have indicated they've gotten both). They introduce themselves in the email and give you instructions on what to do. At 12:01 on the 125 day mark I send in my requests and usually mid day on day 120 I get a follow up email from concierge showing what requests were satisfied along with my itinerary - usually all requests are satisfied but nothing is guaranteed

Agreed with above. You can send your request at the 125 day mark to shore-side concierge. They will call you sometimes at the 130 day mark, I'm 50-50 on getting this call. They don't book your request on the 125 day mark, they book your request on the 120 day mark for you.

Great info for another first time concierge cruiser! Just wondering - is that 12:01 Eastern time?

Yes-depending on your time zone it might be worth peace of mind to stay up and send it...or if you're handy with computers setting it to automatically send at 12:01 would work. I'm on Central so it isn't a hardship to stay up until 11:01 (I'm usually too excited anyway!). If you're Pacific obviously that's ideal (well, honestly I guess Hawaiian would be even better time wise...). Anyway, you get the point :)

Keep in mind you can always call them to ask all questions before hand so you know what is what before sending in your requests. I actually just got off the phone with them and it was super helpful to get the dinner rotations, what days are character breakfast, which days are formal, pirate nights ect.. so you can request what/when/where best suits your plans. Have your ressi number ready.

Also keep in mind that can always change, per DCL :)

Can you contact them any time after you have paid in full? (We sail in late November and will be PIF in 2 weeks - I'd love to get dining rotations and other info on our cruise.)

I would imagine yes, our pif date is passed and we are before our booking window. They gave me the whole rundown NP

You can call/email all you want, but nothing has any weight until midnight on the 125-day mark.

It helped to get dining rotations if you want to skip a restaurant for Palo, so you know what you are requesting at the 125 day mark. At least it helps us.
