Conch Key, Boca Chica or Big Pine Key?

I'm not sure what I want to request yet . . .

I have ressies July 4th - July 11th at GF Lagoon View. We have stayed Lagoon View at Boca Chica in April 1999. Had a nice view of 7 Seas Lagoon, Contemporary, Poly and if we looked to the left we saw MK Castle.

I know if I request Conch Key basically I'm just going to see the Castle and the EWP but I'm not sure I just want to see that. I loved watching the sun come up at Boca Chica it looked so pretty, have some awesome almost picture perfect postcard pics I took.

What should I do . . .DH says lets do Conch Key because we will have a great view of the Castle . . .I dunno . . .what do you think?

We were in Boca Chica and loved the location. I'm with you, we could pretty much see it all--castle, Polynesian, Contemporary, and EWP. Granted, the view of Cindy's wasn't without obstruction, but we still watched the fireworks from our verandah! We liked the close proximity to the boat launch and pool, too!

Since I've not stayed in the other two locales, I can't give an opinion, maybe they're better.

We stayed in Big Pine Key in May 2000. We too had a great view of everything. We could see the Poly, Epcot (far away), and the fireworks. As long as you can see the castle, I don't know that there is a bad lagoon view (unless there are one of those big ole trees in your way). Have fun!!! We are returning to the GF in 42 days!!!! Can't wait!!!

We stayed at Boca Chica and I didn't like the LV at all. I wanted a frontal view of the castle, I didn't want to have to work for it. We're not that early of risers, so the sunrise didn't help, but I can see how you would enjoy it. If it was my I would definitely go with the Conch Key.

We had a *perfect* view of the castle last year from Conch Key. We really loved it - you could see the castle, watch the fireworks and water pageant. Our room was right over the restaurant there (is that Narcooses or Citricos?) Anyway, whenever there were fireworks they played the music in the restaurant and we could hear it from our balcony

We loved the location of Big Pine Key, but the view was very disappointing. Yep, we had one of those big ol' trees in our way. To the right, we could see the pool area. Straight ahead it was the Poly, but mostly blocked by trees. To the left was all trees. If we stood on the very right side of the balcony and strained to look to the left, we could see some of the Electric Water Pageant in front of the Poly. Fortunately it was only two nights, but a garden view would have been much, much better.

I just got a new scanner and once I figure out how to use it I can post some pictures.
