I've never done the backstage thing.. but two years ago when Rex Goudie & Melissa O'Neil were on tour (runner up and Winner of Canadian Idol season 3.) I won front row tickets and a chance to meet them at the radio station for an interview before the concert.
It was cool. Rex is byfar one of my favorite artists, and it just pisses me off that because he was dropped by Sony BMG that radio stations around here refuse to play him.

Anyways. I've met him twice now. That time, and then another time after another concert.

It was one of those concerts that didn't make it to the big hockey agrena, it was in one those theatres that mostly did plays and musicals. We thought the concert was over, so we went out to where he said he'd be signing autographs. He ended up singing another song, but we wouldn't have met him otherwise.
I got my CD signed and my friend had nothing but a bus schedule xD

quiet riot i met at a bikefest they were signing autographs before the show. and styx. i got a drumstick. and i shook james j.y youngs hand. i haven't been backstage. but i will be feb 14th.

I didnt get VIP stuff, but I got to see the Goo Goo Dolls, less then a month ago.
