ok i live in a small city of 32000 in southern british columbia.
rihanna is here tomorrow with kesha opening act
tickets go for 95-300
is this outrageous or a normal ticket price for small town canada
what do you all pay in the usa???

i dont have tix but might go hang out prior to the concert.
i want to go but its a work day the following day

Concert prices are dependent on the PERFORMER not the town. Paul McCartney is coming to the city near us soon. I REALLY want to go, but I can't make the budget work to do that AND take an August vacation. The concert is in a basketball arena -- the tickets that are under $100 won't even having you breathing the same air as Paul! We have already had a week at the beach, so it's not like we won't have a summer vacation if we choose Paul.

I agree with this. I work in a concert arena and the shows we have here range between £30 and £175 ($50-285 Canadian according to the internet!), depending on the event. Having said that, the more expensive tickets are for front row tickets for major artists like Beyonce and Whitney Houston. I wouldn't pay that much to see Kesha!

Yes it is who can command the money. I went and saw Styx, Kansas, and Foreigner and bought a lawn seat for 19.50.

The question you have to answer is DO YOU want to pay that? Is it worth it to you?

I would not pay that to see Rihanna/Kesha, but I would pay that to see Sir Paul. I did see him 20yrs ago when his wife was alive. "Hey Jude" from that evening is something I still recall frequently. So awesome.

So if you are into concerts and you blow your money on them, so be it.
