Our trip is planned for Nov/Dec, and we just found out that 2 of our boys have food allergies. One is allergic to gluten and dairy. The other is allergic to eggs, oats, dairy, and corn. Seems like what one can eat, the other can't.

At the time of our trip, they will be 11 and 9. We're a family who really enjoys food (I grew up with a chef in the house), and the kids loove eating out, so that's a big part of our vacation. I don't want their magical vacation to be less than that because they won't be able to eat anything. I am sure there is no such thing as a dairy free mickey bar. :sad2:

Will they be sadly disappointed?? Anyone else have multiple allergies, yet had enjoyable dining experiences?? Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

If you've got to deal with food allergies, Disney is the place to do it. :goodvibes My kids have had wonderful dining experiences, thanks to the great chefs at Disney. I've never seen a dairy free Mickey bar, but some places have dairy-free ice cream. Contact www.specialdiets@disneyworld.com and let them know the allergies. They'll email you a list of ingredients for many snack and CS places. Make note of the allergies on your ADRs. Special Diets will also email you a form for you to list party info, vacation dates, ADRs and allergies. They forward the info to each restaurant and will also provide phone numbers for you to call in advance to make specific requests.

WDW is really the best place for food allergies! :thumbsup2

I'm gluten and casein free, so I can understand the worry about not getting good food. Honestly, I've had a few dud experiences at WDW, but the great experiences so far and above weight out the bad. There are some really great and accommodating chefs. And honestly, I couldn't believe the variety of items I have been able to get.

WDW special diets can give you a wealth of information. And make sure you note your allergies on all your reservations!

Sure, there's no mickey bars that are dairy free, but I love those itzakazdoozie bars! AND, I've had some pretty fabulous desserts at WDW!
