Concerned about DLH Construction

I currently have 4 nights booked at the DLH for myself and DH over Labor Day weekend. Getting a little worried about all the construction going on at DLH. Does anyone know if the construction on the pool area will be started around labor day? The main reasons we've wanted to stay at DLH is because of 1) the pool area and 2) love the atmosphere over by the waterfalls and the koi ponds which apparently are being demolished if they haven't been already?! Been looking into GC and it is about 300-400 more to change to GC w/ theme park view. Is it worth the money?? How will construction affect our stay at Labor Day? TIA!!

I'd love to get a solid answer on this, but I haven't heard one yet. Official word from Disney is that construction starts this August. There will always be a pool open to guests. Some of the work is scheduled to be done in 2011, some (including the Neverland pool) is scheduled to be done in 2012.

Based on that info, I *think* the Neverland pool will be open this September. Construction will start on the new slide area since that has the earlier completion date, and the Neverland pool will be open to keep one pool open at all times. The waterfalls/koi will be gone. This is just a guess, though!

I'd love a straight answer on this. I'll be there in September as well!
