Concerned about construction AKV

Hi my family and I are planning our 1st disney trip Jan 6-10and want to stay at AKV but am hearing alot about noise? Is it bad enough to consider other resorts? If so any suggestions?

I was just told by MS that Kindani Village will be going to a 2, maybe 3 shift construction schedule next year. She said that DVD is eager to complete construction because they have more resorts to build. I asked her, oh which ones? She said, "we're not allowed to talk about it".

we just got back from the AKVs. noise was not an issue for us. if you're going to be out at the parks during the days, it shouldnt matter at all to you. i don't think they're doing work at night.

we were there in early Oct. we had a savanna view room and we didnt see/hear any construction at all from where we were.

We are just back from 8 days at AKV. We were at parks each moring from opening to about noon and then back to the resort for pool time. We never heard any noise. We did see people working over there, but never heard a sound.

we just returned too and to my surprise....no noise

we were there in august and did not hear much noise but did see a lot of construction activity. we did have one day when the fumes were not good. I was really surprised that there was not more noise. we absolutely loved the lodge and want to go back. my kids really enjoyed themselves. I was worried because they are getting older and I wasn't sure if there would be enough at the lodge for them to do. they just enjoyed the water activities and the whole lodge experience.
