Concept Art for New Rides (and a New Park!)

Most of us would have either been on a battlefield, or rationing every consumable we used. Probably we would have been forgiving to a company that was forced to do the same.
Which battlefield would that have been?

It is an honest question.

I do suspect that the response would not have been positive given the context of today's criticism's. Would many of today's ardent critics of the company sacrificing quality make the same criticism? We have the hindsight of time and nostalgia to hold dear decisions that were made in the 30's, 40's and 50's that many in America were critical of.

Of Pinochio? The types of quality compromises you are talking about didn't start until Dumbo.

You're making a huge assumption that people here don't care what the reason is for compromises. There is simply nothing to base that on as the compromises made since boards like these have been in operation were the result of a business strategy that simply did not believe quality was important.

The current Disney company has the money to invest in quality, but all too often simply chooses not to and instead chooses to invest elsewhere (see the current discussion on YoaMD). That's what the criticism is based on.

The Disney company back then invested in quality as much as it's resources allowed.

And yes, YoHo fails his history lesson for today, but his statement does hold up when you get into the compilation films that came later.
