What are the top five perks of staying Conceirge? I heard they can make PS's for you, but I am still not sure what other services they provide for all the extra money! Thank you!

We just returned from our first family trip to Disney. Chose to stay Beach Club Concierge. For me my #1 reason for staying concierge is CONVENIENCE!

For our family, the pre-planning assistance from the BC/YC/BW IPO staff was outstanding!!! ::yes:: We had lots of our own ideas on how to plan a special trip for our family and the IPO staff offered many additional ideas to complement our own. When it came time to schedule PSs, we got daily e-mails confirming our exact choices of places and times including CRT first seating. All I know is that at 7 am every day I'm getting 3 kids off to school and myself off to work so NOT having to spend phone time with Disney saved me both $$ and more importantly TIME! We also had to change PSs late in the game due to our own whims as well as a "surprise rendezvous" with our extended family -- all those weekend PS changes were made without a hassle! During our stay the concierge staff changed a Friday evening PS for us with just a few hours notice. These are all things I could try to do myself, but considering I spend 51 weeks of the year as my family's "IPO Office", what a thrill it was to have this level of service for myself. Totally stress free!! :teeth: ::yes::

Some have felt that you get prompt seating and "better tables" with concierge bookings. We did have great tables and prompt seating, though I can't compare based on having no prior experience. We did get an AWESOME room upgrade at the BC from garden view to an absolutely perfect lake/Boardwalk view with full balcony! Perhaps we were just lucky... all I know is that we were EXTREMELY appreciative!! ::yes:: We also had several "special treats" in our room upon check-in -- some we'd arranged through IPO, others were pleasant surprises for us!!

We also enjoyed the convenience of having a quick concierge breakfast several mornings, an occasional snack and one "happy hour" (we were a bit "commando" on this first trip ;) ), and several dessert and cordial treats. I would not do concierge for the food alone, but the convenience of NOT having to do restaurants to feed 3 kids every couple of hours was worth it to us.

Our kids got a kick out of the housekeeping and turn-down service as well. Several surprise "towel animals" joined their own menagerie over time and the animals took to "watching
TV" in the evening -- the kids trying to guess who would be "holding the remote"!!

Would we do it again? In a heart beat!! Necessary? Probably not, but definitely a convenience that made our pre-planning of our trip all the more enjoyable and hassle-free!

Thank you! your post was much appreciated!!! Any one else have some comments?

For me, it's the chance to get to know the Cast Members a little better. That's the most important thing to me. (I'm a people-person.)

1. Pulling up at the entrance and be greeted by someone by name and whisked to my room without making a line at the front desk.

2. Complimentary breakfast in the morning.

3. Snacks and beverages during the day.

4. Getting to know the CM's a little better. They are so wonderful and helpful.

5. Having a glass of wine and appetizers before dinner.

6. Being pampered and made feel special and important.

For us, there are several reasons. We are a family of 5 anyway, so we have to stay at one of the deluxes or get 2 rooms elsewhere. We don't have any cheap options available. SO, if we are going to be spending deluxe money anyway - might as well make is as easy, nice and special as possible.

Do you get your 'money's' worth? No - not dollar for dollar. I LOVE the convenience of the breakfast. I love the lounge staff at the Poly. You cannot eat enough food or replace enough meals to 'justify' the expense. WE have used the planning some, although not too much. I enjoy doing some of the planning myself. They have been able to get the last minute PS's for us when we have changed our plans or gone on a whim to DW.

My kids feel special - they love being able to go to the lounge and get something to eat whenever they want. I feel great letting them go to the lounge by themselves as it is a secure building. I also like the convenience - location wise - close to the pool and a straight shot to the busses and monorail. AT some of the resorts - you are a bit more remote - but that makes for a quieter locale. So benefits either way.

I don't think I can give 5 top reasons...we just like it. We like feeling special.

Hi!
#1 Feeling so welcomed long before you set foot on property.

#2 Being able to arrange for special surprises and gifts that will be waiting in your room - especially priceless when children are involved, although my mom was the one who started crying last October when I had a gift certificate for a pre-booked massage waiting for her at AKL;

#3 The Lounge! Knowing there is a special place to relax and get a drink; cup of coffee in the morning; "Tea" in the afternoon; appetizers and a glass of wine in the evening...

#4 Having an Itinerary Planner to answer questions via email before my trip and book special things, whether it be CRT or Candlelight Processional Dinner Package or the Family Magic Tour. You make your request - 100 days before or 1 day before; 6am or midnight and they take care of the rest...

#5 The special pampering of service that is s "cut above"...;)
