When you stay at a resort, but not specifically the conceirge level do you get any of the perks of the conceirge? I only ask because I called disney dining to ask for a run down of all of the dining reservations that I made and when I was thnking her she said, "You can always ask your conceirge to print you out a copy of your dining schedule." And I was thinking I wish, but do they perform services for other guests too?:surfweb:

Concierge now refers to guest services located in the lobby of the resorts.

If you are staying as a concierge guest, I have now seen that referred to as "Club Level".

Disney has recently changed the terminology of Concierge Level to Club level. There is a "concierge desk" in each resort to help with dining, tickets, etc and this is for all resort guests. I beleive that is what they are referring you to. the deluxe resorts are the only ones with club level(BC, YC, BW, WL, GF,Poly, CR, AKL). While the club level staff assist with adr's, etc, the additional $$ for club level includes access to a lounge with food offerings, turn down service and dedicated staff to assist you are needed.
Connears

Poly's King Kamehameha Club is wonderful..we were there for xmas week 2005 and it was well worth the $$ IMHO.

Hmmm, would Disney dining know your room reservation status? Just throwing that out there, because if they can see that information, perhaps you've been given a magical upgrade :yay: to the club level. If she did indeed say "your concierge", that seems to indicate something more than simply guest services (aka lobby concierge). Might be worth checking on it.

Agree, you never know until you inquire since when business make terminology switch overs like this it typically takes years for everyone in the organization the size of Disney to align themselves to the new language definitions. Concierge and Club will be a phrase intermixed for sometime and I think it is always good to get clarification whenever you have a question directly from the source whenever possible or available.

That is a good question if the OP was upgraded to a Club Level floor? The other thing to remember is both the Concierge desks in the lobby and the Cast Members up on the Club Level floors can both print out everyones schedule of ADR's. So you don't have to stay on a Club Level floor to get that kind of service.

How would the Dining rep know if an upgrade had been given? I thought upgrades (random ones) were given by the room assigner only a few days before arrival?

I'm sure the rep meant the lobby concierge...not to burst your bubble, but don't get your hopes up. You may have actually had a WELL TRAINED dining CM. Rare, I know. :sad2:

I think we should also know which WDW Resort the OP is staying at. The reason I say that is the Value and Moderate Resorts also have the lobby Concierge desk, so it's not just an exclusive thing to the Deluxe Resorts.

When we've stayed club level, for whatever reason, the system codes us as a VIP guest in the ADR system. I'm guessing it's tied in to our reservation number if that is used to sort of group them all together . Maybe the dining person saw this notation and that's what prompted her response or as you pointed out, she could have simply been knowledgeable. As for upgrades, they can happen at any time and aren't all done necessarily by the room assignor. Some DIS'ers have reported checking their on-line reservations and seeing the change there. Right now, Disney is sending out e-mails to guests about upgrades given at the Pop. I don't know, it's worth checking on if she's booked into a deluxe.
