Computer software help please.

Santa is bringing laptops for our DS13 and DD11. I did not have Microsoft Student put on them because I can get it on BF cheaper. My question is can I buy program and load it on both laptops or can it only be loaded one time? It would be great if I could only buy one and use it on both laptops Thanks

I can't answer your question for sure, but....I have Microsoft Office Student 2003 and it says it can be loaded on up to 3 computers. I've put it on 2 already. Perhaps 2007 is the same.

I have installed Office 2k3 on about 5 different computers over the years, and Microsoft only gave me a hassle once during this time. When I called them and explained it was a replacement computer, they had no problem activating it.

You should have no problem installing on two computers, so long as they are in your household. In short, do not buy the second set of discs until Microsoft denies you. I don't expect they will.

I ordered this for my daughter from the Newegg sale this morning. It specifically said it was for 3 PCs.

It was also $10 cheaper than any Black Friday price I saw.

You can get similar programs free these days online...I mean the legal way
Just by having a gmail account, I also have a word processor, spreadsheets, a calander...and more.

I also agree with what was mentioned above, most programs allows for owners to install multiple times.
