So I had to get a new computer since my old one won't boot up all the way. In the long run it was cheaper to do that instead of fix the old one. I know there is not an issue with my hard drive so all my data should still be one the old computer. I know I need to get a cable to transfer the data, but to transfer it do I need to take the hard drive out of my old computer and then hook it up to my new computer or will I be able to transfer the data by just plugging the cable into my old computer and then the new one. The old computer does turn on, I just can't get it past the login screen.
Does anyone also know what cable I will need for the way I am going to need to transfer the data.
TIA!
