Do the onboard internet computers have usb ports available? I would like to be able to e-mail pictures back home.

<Script language='Javascript'>var rndNum = Math.floor(Math.random() * 10000);eval("var CDTDate" + rndNum + " = 'February,28,2004 5:00:00 PM EST';");document.writeln("<form name='CDTform" + rndNum + "' action='Javascript:void(0);'>");document.writeln('<font size=2 color=darkred>Countdown to Bob and Lee`s Disney Cruise </font><br>');document.writeln("<input type=text value='' size=40 name='WrittenByJamesMVenglarikII'>");document.writeln("</form>");if (theFunction) theFunction += "var d = new Date();";else var theFunction = "var d = new Date();";theFunction += "var c = new Date('" + eval("CDTDate" + rndNum) + "');";theFunction += "var diff = (c - d)/1000;";theFunction += "var days = Math.floor(diff / 86400);";theFunction += "var rem = diff - (days * 86400);";theFunction += "var hours = Math.floor(rem / 3600);";theFunction += "rem = rem - (hours * 3600);";theFunction += "var minutes = Math.floor(rem / 60);";theFunction += "rem = rem - (minutes * 60);";theFunction += "var seconds = Math.floor(rem);";theFunction += "if ((days < 0) | (hours < 0) | (minutes < 0) | (seconds < 0)) ";theFunction += "var out = '';";theFunction += "else ";theFunction += "var out = ' ' + days + ' days ' + hours + ' hrs. ' + minutes + ' mins. ' + seconds + ' secs.';";theFunction += "document.forms.CDTform" + rndNum + ".elements.WrittenByJamesMVenglarikII.value = out;";setInterval(theFunction, 1000);</Script>

The onboard Internet computers are just a monitor, keyboard, and old mouse. They do not have any ports available. The internet software is an old version of IE. They are not running any popup stoppers, so you get that annoyance. The link is relatively slow, although faster than dial-up. I did some speed tests last week and found that the download was about 275kbps, while the upload was about 250kbps. Unfortunately, about the only uploading you are able to do is web-based email.

It really seems to be about four year old technology. I was somewhat disappointed, especially consider that they charge about $14 / day for the service. However, it is better than having no Internet access for seven days.

Just curious. We have been on the cruise before and never thought about e-mailing. I read an article in the newspaper friday about how some cruise lines even have wireless access. Thought maybe Disney might have been one of those.
