computer generated scrapbook items

I was looking at some page layouts that someone had on a website and many of her pages said "...." printed on the computer. Do you need special inks or whatnot to generate something on the computer? I am new to scrapbooking so excuse my ignorance.

Not too worry about asking...that is what this forum is all about! Most of the opinions, information, etc. are that as long as you run acid free paper or cardstock through you are ok with standard ink.
