compression socks

has anyone worn compression socks in the florida heat of summer at the parks and what was your experience wearing them? I was considering they may help prevent disney rash on lower legs and also help with all the standing in place. Opinions welcome!

I've never done compression socks. What I use is the thin runner toe socks, with wool socks over them. The toe socks keep my toes from rubbing together because no matter how carefully I trim my toenails, somehow one spot always ends up rubbed raw. The thinness of the inner sock that fits snugly protects from blisters since it is the inner sock not my foot that is rubbed.

Then to protect my legs I wear a broomstick skirt with bike shorts underneath. The bike shorts protect from thigh chafing. The length of the skirt protects from Disney rash since it keeps the sun off. The lightweight of the skirt makes it feel like it is not there. So, I feel like I am wearing bike shorts without looking like one of those "Seen at Walmart" photos.

My husband wears them to prevent the dreaded rash. I was worried they would add a lot of heat, but he says he doesn't notice much of a difference. Maybe he's just gotten used to them. Or maybe he just doesn't care because it's better than getting the rash. They make a huge difference. He tried just using sleeves instead of the full on sock, but he started getting the rash in the tiny line between his regular socks and the sleeve, and it would spread. So back to the full socks. He uses SB Sox brand.

I have worn one on my right leg for several years now. It is warm but we go in June so my entire body is warm. I wear doc millers which has multiple colors and designs.

I have never worn them at Disney but wear them after running and when flying long distances. Most compression socks are moisture wicking and will not add further heat. They will absolutely help with swelling and blood flow, they will also help your legs recoup faster from the extra miles you'll be putting in.
