I was curious if WL provided in room bathrobes?
Or if you can request for used in your room?

Thanks

I believe they're only available to concierge guests. The only resort that has robes in all guest rooms is GF.

This is what I thought... I was hoping they would have updated this perk. I am finding most hotels are offering this, it would be a nice touch.

It would be a great touch! One less heavy thing to pack. We were offered robes at a Marriott recently.

I agree. I don't take my robe because it would take up my whole suitcase. But just thinking about relaxing at WL , and it puts me in the snuggly, I need a comfy robe to curl up in mood! It's been a long time since there wasn't a robe in the hotels I've been staying in.
I'd even be willing to pay a rental fee for the week ! lol.

It is disappointing a DELUXE resort doesn't offer this service, when some of the small local hotel chaus are providing this service.

Let's hope they are listening, it ould end up being a money maker for them because I bet people would buy them! :rolleyes1

Personally I see no value to this perk. When I stay in hotels that do offer a robe, I have never used it.
I would prefer that they do not offer them, and keep prices lower.
JMHO

OMG! I totally agree with OP! With deluxe hotel prices, the least they could do is let you use a robe for your stay!

The robe in the BC Marketplace was the softest most dreamiest thing EVER!! I have been kicking myself for not buying it, but at $99, it isn't easy. When I go back in January, I already have my pennies put away for one. I'm not going home without one this time!!

I don't actually like the robes they offered in concierge anyways. I wouldn't use them normally but I do much prefer my fleecy dressing gown; I just don't have room to take it with me! That said, I see new brown robes in the WL mercantile (complete with WL logo). I was tempted!

At WL in 2005 and recently at the YC we were able to call housekeeping and have robes sent up to our rooms. We were not in concierge.

They are not the fanciest robes, and I don't think they changed them out through out our stay, but I prefer to have a robe to wear when I'm getting ready in the morning.

I could see that some people would not want this "luxury" item, some people are robe people and some people aren 't. I think it provides you a comfort of home.
Think of it this way- some consider the coffeemaker a perk to a room, but what it you don't drink coffee? It really would mean nothing to you.

I wish the DELUXE resorts offered the "LUXES":goodvibes

That's positive news... I'll ask when we check in, never hurts!
thank you for your feedback.

That would be so nice! I always bring my robe as I like to wear it while I get ready, answer the door for room service, etc. Next trip I am *trying* to go with just carry ons since its just DH and I. Not having to bring my robe will open up lots o' space!

Don't need the robes...I love robes but this just skeeves me out. I stayed at the Westin in times square and found blood stains on the inside of the robe( the robe was sealed in cleaners like plastic too) :scared1:

Your confusing "Real Deluxe" with "Disney Deluxe"

At a real deluxe you would have a robe automatically.... at Disney MAYBE if you call and they have any and/or get around to you!

While I was at the Mercantile at the WL two weeks ago, I saw that they are selling WL robes...I've stayed there a few times before but never saw robes in the gift shop, but they may have always had them. Anyways, the price of the robes were $100 each! I'd much rather them not offer robes in every room b/c as others have said, it would be reflected in price, and then of course I'd have to "trust" that they would be properly washed between guests

We stay concierge and never use the robes. I would also rather them not offer it in any of the rooms to keep the price down.

Maybe you can pack a thin robe so it doesn't take up alot of space in your suitcase.
It's so hot in Florida anyway, I can't see the need for the thick ones.

:lmao: :lmao:

Disney is charging MORE then comparable hotels... Do you really think that removing robes will result in a keeping the price down? That is NOT what Disney does. What they would do is remove the robe and continue with the current pricing strategy.

I don't blame them, the place is full. I just won't pay more for less!

I have had the opportunity to stay at a lot of "TRUE" Deluxe hotels. They charge less and PROVIDE MORE. Only at Disney is it OK to expect less! Do you really think that robes cost that much? If they are selling them at the DISNEY gift shop for $100.... figure they COST less then $50. Laundry costs on them would be minimal since Disney does it's own laundry and you don't get a new one every time... they last quite a while.... So over the course of a year it's probably very small for each room.....

At Grand Floridian do you get to keep the robe?

Maybe its just me, but aren't the sheets and towels washed the exact same way as a robe would be? If a robe skeeves people out, shouldn't the sheets and towels do the same? I think far worse things happen on the sheets, blankets and comforters then the robes.

I guess everyone has a different point of view. It just never occurred to me since I'm knowingly sleeping on laundered sheets and drying up with laundered towels.

and then of course I'd have to "trust" that they would be properly washed between guests
And then of course, Disney would have to trust that the robes wouldn't accidentally find their way into the Guest's luggage...
