complimentary fridges

Could someone please tell me if the complimentary fridges at the deluxe and moderate resorts are empty so that you can actually use them, or are they filled with outrageously priced items I don't want to buy? We are planning our first trip since 2000 and every time we asked for a fridge - it was filled with so much stuff - you couldn't even put a can of soda in it. Thanks!

Thank you!!!!! I've really been wondering about this. Our daughter will be honeymooning in Oct. in a moderate - we will probably stay at the Poly in Nov. I used the Dis boards in 2000 before our last trip and am very happy to be back - you can't beat the helpful info.

You're very welcome. I love that they have the fridges in all the moderates and deluxes now. I remember the days of keeping ice in a cooler in my room to keep drinks cool!

I might add, they are not all that DEEP! Did anyone else notice that?

Just wondering if there is a small freezer compartment in the fridges. If I remember right, I don't think so. Does anyone know for sure?

They are totally empty fridges, not "mini bars."

As far as freezer compartments: We had two connecting rooms in CBR. One fridge had a tiny freezer compartment (the size of 2 ice cube trays) and one did not. This answer doesn't solve your problem, but it's the only answer I have!

We stayed at WDW 6 trips last year and got the dorm size refrig 4 times for delux stays. No ice section at all. My daughter rented a frig at Pop and it had an ice section. The only nice small frigs you get are the one in studios (and probably the new All Star Suites), they are half frigs with a pretty good size freezer. (We stayed at the AKL, CR, WL & BC).
