I have read through the FAQ but cannot see the answer to this specific question.

We have a DVC annual PAP that expires on 31st March.

On 6th April we are back at WDW.

We also have one completely unused base "two day" ticket each ( so we could get free dining last year)

We wish to renew the DVC PAP at the renewal rate - and also apply the value of the two day ticket each to reduce the cost.

Does this cause a problem ? - as its a renewal AND DVC discount AND we want to use the two day ticket towards the price.

We plan to use the ticket at the gate ( so we get the current gate price) and then go straight to Guest services in the park to do the renewal. That bit makes me nervous as we would then have "activated " those tickets and there is no going back ! LOL

Thanks

1- We wish to renew the DVC PAP at the renewal rate - and also apply the value of the two day ticket each to reduce the cost.

2- Does this cause a problem ? -

3- as its a renewal
4- AND DVC discount
5- AND we want to use the two day ticket towards the price.

6- We plan to use the ticket at the gate ( so we get the current gate price) and then go straight to Guest services in the park to do the renewal.

7- That bit makes me nervous as we would then have "activated " those tickets and there is no going back ! LOL

1- Good plan.
2- Nope.
3- That's normal.
4- There is no such thing as a "DVC discount" for AP's.
What you are buying is a "DVC AP" which simply costs less than a regular AP.
5- That's an approved method to use.
6- Correct.
7- That's not as "terminal" as you make it sound.
Even that can be "corrected" it there is some kind of problem.

If you do encounter any problems with the "ticket CM," politely ask to speak to a manager.

Your best defense is knowing exactly what you want, and how much it should cost.
If it really bothers you, you might want to stop at a ticket booth or Guest Relations OUTSIDE the park
before you enter using the tickets and see if the CM will:
A- Know what you want to do and understands the procedure.
B- MIGHT bridge your 2-day tix to the current gate price without you having to use them first.

If you do need to go into the park to "bridge" the tickets, return to that same CM outside the park to
get the AP's that morning.

.

We renewed, upgrading our seasonal to a PAP and applying Give-A-Day tickets to them (and got on the monthly payment plan besides) with no problems - sounds like what you're doing, but even more complicated. :D

Everything is correct. Here is the calculation of what it should cost

$ 464.00 - DVC Renewal-rate PAP
- 162.00 - Two Day Base ticket
$ 302.00 - Difference
++ 19.63 - Sales Tax
$ 321.63 - Total difference per ticket
$ 643.26 - Cost for two tickets

May be a few cents difference due to rounding. I would suggest bring this calculation with you when you get it done so you have real numbers if any problem. And, of course, make sure you have your DVC Member Card with you.

Thank you so much !!! Thats really helpful and yes I will take the figures so I dont get confused when I am there LOL
