TO ALL DISIGNERS- YOU GUYS ROCK!!! THANK YOU FOR ALL THE HELP-

I am finishing up the ironing on my family shirts for our trip in 10 days- YEAH!!!
Here's the first set for Animal Kingdom- our names are on back with a small animal kingdom logo on front- These are Marne's design- the baby is getting white onsie's because finding colors to match the shirts was ridiculous-I bought the t shirts at walmart. I'll post each set as I finish them-

I put one picture in the posting- could you see it? If not, how do I attach? I'm planning on doing them all this weekend- Of course, work got busy-

Shirts were $5 a piece a walmart- we picked the colors on purpose, they have a ton of colors.

You can upload your photos to something like photobucket and then post them from there.

Once uploaded onto photobucket at the side of each photo it gives you an address to copy and paste, just paste that into your post on here, hope that helps :)

Looking forward to seeing them now :)

The straighter the lines, the easier to apply BUT they bigger the design the hotter it was- we went in August so its super hot anyway- if there's one shirt in the pic that's different, its the front of the shirt-

Very nice! Who did the Disign for the Mickey head that had the names and in the middle says Making Magical Memories.... really like that one!

Wow, the shirts look great!

Question -- how did you get such clean lines and what brand Iron on paper did you use?

I made FE iron ons from the DIS-signs community requests and they were great but mine looked a little messy.

Did you cut out the transfer and use a super hot iron? Any tricks?

Dumb question but for the Name Fills--- did you cut out the inside of the O's and insides of the letters?

Thanks!

These looks awesome!! I was wondering if Marne's disigns would print with white background onto colored shirts! Thanks! Any tips? Also curious about the transfer paper you used! Thank you for sharing! I'm actually really nervous about making them :scared:

They are wonderful, I love you name wraps - who did those for you?

I asked Liz, but she has stopped DISigning as her computer went south :(

I used Amy's paper. I did a test shirt using transfers I bought in the store and it sucked (posted under What went wrong with this shirt) the difference with Amy's was night and day. I just followed the instructions she sent with the transfers. Used an old cheap iron I have and a pillow case on my arts and crafts table-

I did cut out the middle of the letters, and just used plain old scissors. I cut around a little into the color to make sure I had all the white off. I used my cricket paper cutter to cut the straight lines straight, and again went into the color a bit to make sure all white was off.

Marne did the names around the Mickey head, animal kingdom names and names with color border. Mandy did the name fills and the water design shirt. Barbara did the Hollywood studios. Marion, Sarah, Mel, and especially Dee helped with all my invites, treat coupons and other good stuff.

This is what I learned from the experience- it was much easier on me long term to go through the designers photo buckets and then ask for a specific design then to start a new post with a generic request. Even if I was asking someone to create something new, I asked specific people based on their designs I saw. Don't get me wrong, generic requests are great, but I found it much easier to do specific ones, especially when your waiting for a response. Generic requests you never know who is going to answer or if it will be answered.

Last piece of advice- I highly, highly recommend buying the photopass plus prior to your visit. We didn't do it, and I am so sorry. We did the regular photo pass and made sure to get photos all the time. When we looked at the photos we loved them, so we bought the entire download (they give a lot of extra photos also based on where you went)- so I can make some photo books. The regular photo pass doesn't include and you can't transfer the pics on the rides or at the restaurants to that pass, BUT THEY DO transfer to the photopass plus, and they are downloaded to your computer and they give you the license to print anyway you want- plus the photopass plus is cheaper if you buy it in advance-
