We woke up at 4am. Crazy, huh?? We were looking at each other going "what the heck!!". After a bit, I decided to go back to bed.

I finally awoke at 8 or 9am. Much more reasonable. But I also felt like I was hungover from being that tired.

After a bit, we went to eat some breakfast. I couldn't wait to get a Mickey waffle. Yummy!!

We stopped at the hotel store, then went back to the room.

My mom asked me what I felt like doing. At that point, I was excited to be at WDW, but at the same time I felt a bit sick. And oh so tired.

We decided that we'd take a boat ride to Downtown Disney. Eat lunch there. Shop. And then we'd see if we were going to a park that night, or not.

When I finally was able to pull myself up, we left to take the boat.

One of the reasons we love this resort, is the boat that goes from the hotel to Downtown Disney.

We think it's so relaxing, and the boat drivers are always so nice and sweet. They don't seem as anti-social as SOME of the bus drivers. They also don't seem as stressed.

Needless to say that we shopped our booties off.

We decided that our lunch would be Ghirardellis.

We both went for sundaes. I had never tried a sundae. I mostly went for the chocolate milkshake. This time, I tried the Espresso one. I don't remember the name. It was great!! I loved every bite of it hehehe.

Then we continued with the shopping. Here are a few pics of Downtown Disney.

Two paintings in a window. I love those because my painting style is almost the same. So I thought they were incredible.

I sent out index cards, also. I think it was 3.5x5 but I'm not 100% sure. I won twice by mail and I sent out a combination of 3.5x5 and 4x6 cards. Good luck!!!

I thought it was 3.5 x 5. I won once last year. The lanyard. I am dreaming of the ears lol

We went back to the hotel, and I laid down for a nap. Napped a few hours.

Then I didn't feel like doing anything. So we grabbed food from the food court, watched some tv, and went to sleep, since we had ressies for Chef Mickey's the next day!

CONt...

That morning was our Chef Mickey morning!!!

OMG!! I had been waiting for this for 3 years now!

We got up early. Around 7am and got ready. By 9am, we were ready to go. Our reservation was at 10:30.

We planned on taking the bus to the Magic Kingdom, and from there, the monorail into the Contemporary.

We got unto the bus, and one woman was upset saying she had been waiting for the bus for too long and that she was late for her breakfast reservation. And she kept complaining to the bus driver.

As we were approaching the Magic Kindgom, the driver told us that if we had reservations at the Contemporary or the Polynisian, to stay on board. He'd drop us off. The lady was still pissed because he was stopping at the Contemporary first and she was heading to the Polynisian.

It worked out great for us. By 9:30 we were at the Contemporary. That meant, plenty of time to shop. Woohoo! I loved the stores. They look so nice!

I looked at the pins for a while, and I bought a Chef Mickey's pin, and a Contemporary resort one.

Then we headed to Chef Mickey's.

We were given a buzzer, and told to come back when it went off.

We waited less then 5 minutes, and went back to the counter. We were given a ticket for a picture opportunity, which we didn't use. My mom wasn't up for it, and I wanted to keep my money for something else hehehe

We were seated in the back... I think in the section behind the one where Jon and Kate were seated.

We had the nicest waitress! She was nice and funny. And took great care of us. The area in which we were seated was a bit quieter than the rest. My mom went to explore the buffet, while I ordered our drinks.

Not long after she came back, this guy came to our table.

Then this fellow followed.

As we were eating, we kept looking at families. I noticed a family of four, and offered them to take their picture with Mickey. Mickey came a bit after that, and they nicely took ours too. I am not posting this pic as my mom is in it, and she hates being photographed. I am respected her wish, which is why you won't see pics of her here. ;)

Not long after that, our waitress gave us our checks. Oh, by the way, the hash browns are awesome!! We would have eaten that the whole week!!

As she gave us our check, she told us to stick around, and not to leave now. She said there were 2 characters left, and we had to see them. We loved how relaxed she was, and how she was not pushing us out the doors.

So here are the next characters.

We then paid for our meal, and headed towards the door. We decided to take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom.

CONT....

We took the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. Well it turns out that one was going to the TTC. We got off there since we were totally lost.

We wanted to take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom but it was broken. We were told only the ferry was working. We started walking to the ferry and noticed the line. Almost as long as a football field. Ok, maybe I'm exagerating...but it was pretty long!

So we took the monorail to the resorts, to make our way to the Magic Kingdom to get into a bus. As we were riding the monorail, my mom offered that we stop at the Polynesian since we might never get there.

But "en route" we decided to stop at the Grand Floridian. We got off the monorail and walked into one of the boutiques. I bought barettes and the GF pin, and started talking with the cashier. She was an elderly woman and was the cutest and nicest thing! She asked me why it said Brooklyn in my t-shirt, and if that's where I was from. She once lived in Brooklyn. Then when I told her where I was from, she started talking to me in French. She said her father was French and she never had the chance to practice it. My mom was waiting for me outside the store and what wondering what I was up to hehehe.

We then made our way to the women's clothing store downstairs. Where every step we took was followed by 2 from the salewoman. She was VERY annoying. Needless to say, we decided to leave.

We then walked around the lobby, and were thirsty. I went to the "convenience store" and got us some drinks. Then, I asked to go see the beach. I was just dying to go see that beach.

We made our way to the beach to enjoy our drinks. My mom sat at a table, while I took off my sandals and started walking in the sand. Awwwwwwww that feeling! I wish we were staying at a hotel with a beach. The Carribean beach sounded appealing, but it's farther from the parks than POR. Which is one of the reasons why we went back to POR. Here are a few pictures I took.

We then took the monorail again. My mom was tired, so we decided to go nap. We had after all spent a lot of time wandering around that hotel. It was now almost 3pm. Wow time passed so quickly.

We maybe our way to POR. Napped, ate dinner, and went to bed.

Afterall, we were going to a park the next day hehehe

You got TWO of my favorites in one day!! The Grand AND Chef Mickey's!! Isn't the beach at the Grand absolutely amazing?! I just love it!! It's a dream of mine to stay there one day! We'll see! :) I just love POR so dang much!! :rotfl2: Great update!!
