CONT....

It was an interesting ride. I did really enjoy it. Like I said, our guide was funny, cute, and entertaining. Cool thing that it is still around!

I then made my way through frontierland, and walked towards Big Thunder Moutain. I had not ridden this sincde 2000. And I noticed that the wait time was 5 minutes. Hey, who was I to pass this up! So I went in, and didn't really wait. I had my own bench. The little girl behind me was very nervous. She was with her grandmother. I talked to her and told her that she was lucky not to be alone. And that if I was willing to do it by myself, she'd be able to do it too. The ride was great. I didn't remember it as being scary, just lotsa fun. And that's what it was. When it was over, I high fived the little girl. She had loved it, and we both survived lol

I then waited a bit to go to Tom Sawyer's island. Once again, I had never been there. It was cute. I was in search of paintbrushes, and so were a lot of people. Guess what.... I did not find one lol So after 30 minutes, I was hot, wet, and had to get on my way to meet my mom. I did snatch up a few pics.

I haven't been on the Jungle Cruise since I was little and don't remember it at all! Maybe I'll ride it next time we're there.

You should definetly go there if you have the time to ;) It's a nice flashback to back when things were simple :)

LOVE the Jungle Cruise and Big Thunder AND Tom Sawyer's Island....all lots of fun!!!! :thumbsup2 Great Jungle Cruise pics!!

Ok guys, gonna try and focus and continu this report. I spent 2 hours today at the vets with my cat. He's not doing good. He's more than 13 years old. We think maybe 15. We can't exactly remember the year we got him, stupid huh? Anywayz. Diagnosis isn't good. Apparently he may have a tumor above his stomach. The vet gave him stuff for the week end. We need to see how he's doing this week end. Then if he's not feeling good on monday, we gotta take a decision. I'm devastated. He's my baby. I've been having a bad year. And this makes it even less fun.

CONT....

I met up with my mom in front of "The Chapeau". She was ponctual as usual. We all are in the family, which makes us curse when people are more than 30 min late, you know?

So I was hungry. We stopped at the bakery and I got myself a frozen latte, and a cupcake. Yup, I'm a cupcake lover.

I was done very fast since I was hungry. It was around 11am by that time.

We did some shopping at the Emporium while awaiting our now traditional meal at "The Plaza". Our ressie was at 1:35pm.

It finally was time for us to get there. We had to wait behind a couple who was really pissed they couldn't get a reservation, or a seat, and were cursing all over the place. So I kindly asked them if they were done since I had a ressie. Didn't want to be mean, or impolite. But I had been waiting behind them for more than 10 minutes.

Apparently, the hostess was glad I interupted, and almost as soon as I had told them we had arrived, we were seated.

We had a nice table in the "veranda" part of the restaurant. I don't know if you guys know what I mean. My mom was sitting with her back to the window on the "banquette" while I was sitting on a chair. But in the end, I was the lucky one since I had a view of the castle :)

We each had the chicken-ham sandwich. YUMMY! We always eat that. It's delicious and the fries are so great. We had a nice waitress, but I have to say that we were a bit cramped. 2 families surrounded us, and did take a bit of room.

When we were finished, we felt very tired. I had been running around MK for a few hours, and it was hot.

And as we looked up the sky, we noticed that it was getting grey.

So we walked down Main Street a bit, and then rain slowly started falling.

We ran for cover inside the Confectionnary, and ended up buying a few snacks including pink cotton candy, and a few drinks.

We then wondered if we should wait for the rain to pass, or just brave it.

We braved it hehehe

We went to wait for the bus, and got "home" safely. We had a nice relaxing dinner at the hotel. Another night of Lifetime, Lifetime movie, abc family ( we don't get those here). And went to bed.

Oh no! I am so sorry! I know what it's like to love a cat. I have 2 and they are totally members of the family. You will both be in my thoughts and prayers. Take all the time you need. We'll be here to read your TR when you get back.

Ugh - I hate when people act like they should be given preferential treatment! As if they're the center of the universe!

Aren't Lifetime movies the best? I mean, they're not really the BEST. But great for passing time! :lmao:

EDIT

Sorry it did not rain that day!

Everything else is correct... except the rain hehehe

My friend actually played in a Lifetime movie but I never got to see it since we don't have the channel :(

Sorry about your kitty. I had a blue point siamese for 19yrs. I still miss him.

I love the building and window shots. I'll try to concentrate on really looking around while at the parks so I don't miss anything.

Well he doesn't look too well this morning. I mean he doesn't look better. I didn't sleep from 3am to 6am.. crying...

If anything, my mom and I agreed that we'd wait until Wednesday because on Tuesday I'm going to see if I can get a job. So I wouldn't make a good decision if I was grieving :)

Where we went:Downtown Disney + AMC Theater

Late breakfast:Hotel

Dinner:Hotel

What we discovered:How huge the AMC Theater really is. And the big inflated Wall-E.

What we liked: The Movie (Sex and the city: The movie)

What we didn't like: The weird bus driver.

Memorable note:The bus driver was very scary.

CONT...

It had become an habit to take one day "off", when we went to a park the day before. We had seen that the forecast was predicting a very hot day, so we decided to head for a cooler place.

The night before, I had stopped by the lobby and asked if I could obtain a movie schedule. Of course the employee said I had to go see Wall-E, but I rarely go with my mom to the movies. And since she also watched Sex and the City, well maybe not as often as I did, but still... hehehe we decided to go see it. I had seen it before, but in French. The friend I always go to the movies with does not speak English, so I never get to see the original versions in theater. I had REALLY enjoyed the movie, and wanted to hear Carrie, and not some other chick, you know?

So we got up, had a little breakfast and were off to the AMC theater. We had planned to get off at the Please Island stop, but the bus driver was very weird. And scary. I'm sorry if it's sounding like I'm judging here, but let me tell you that he was the first bus driver I was EVER scared of. Even in Montreal. So that gives you an idea. That is why we decided to step off the bus as we got to the marketplace.

CONT...

The movie was great. Better than I remembered. Once again though, even if we had brought sweaters, we were cold. Better be cold than hot? Dunno lol

We exited around dinner time, and noticed how big the movie theater really was. We had entered near the Planet Hollywood, and exited near Virgin.

We were torn between eating Downtown, or having a relaxed dinner at the hotel.

After walking from PI to the marketplace, we were tired, famished, and grumpy hehe

The hotel won. The boat was ready to leave, and we knew we'd be at the hotel soon, and it would involved less waiting time than waiting at a restaurant.

I felt like having a soup, and cake. I don't remember what my mom had, but it started a habit of getting a dessert everynight from the foodcourt. hehehe

I started by getting the chocolate cake, then moved on to hot individual apple pies a la mode.

My mom stayed with the chocolate cake. Yummy. It was comfort food after rainy days. (Rainy days who were coming VERY soon).

We were doing a bit of shopping. And I was on a hunt for pins. So while my mom shopped, I headed for the hat, where we were to meet up.

After I was done shopping, I noticed that Stitch was playing with the kids who were waiting for High School Musical.

That is when my mom met up with me, and we slowly started walking towards the Sci-fi. But before we did, we did something we had never done before. Look at the handprints in front of the Great Movie Ride.
