Hey Susie...

You got a lot done!

I when to my LSS today (2nd time this week), pulled some paper, bought some Jolee's. Chugging along...

I'm all cut-out and need to do some inking. But I will need more double-sided tape for assembly;)

Hello, I need to get chatting LOL! Now that my kids are all healthy again & back to school, I can spend a little more time checking stuff out here.

I've got my plans on paper - now just to translate to the actual pieces.

Some of my elements have changed a bit because I didn't like what I planned;)

I'm making good progress as well. Hoping to finish up the character swap first but sort of working simultaneously on these.

I have my Toys group (Pokemon) titles done and some of the paper piecings and I threw in some squares because I lilked them. I have to post pictures to make sure I'm ok on the embellishing - I think I am because I have a cool printed layer then shadowed, welded letters on the title.

So I have a question. What I've done for a lot of my groups was a 'wordle'. I haven't matted and embellished them yet but here is what I mean (this is one of them).

wordle.jpg

I was thinking of using it as signage to be honest. For this one I also have a poem printed with a graphic on it - the wordle didn't really seem like a poem so it didn't look like duplilcation to me. I have several of these so far printed. What should we call them do you think? I have other poem selected where I also have one of these but didn't print yet in case it didn't work (the picnic one has a big old graphic on top so it all coordinates really well).

Signage/Word Art or maybe on a tag?
They look cool. I'm all for using them. :thumbsup2

I guess how you lay it out and embellish it will determine if it is too close to a poem/lyric.

More progress tonight.

Here is what I got done
Football-American -photo mats and borders
Mixed Group - Golf - 5 inch Altered letter with the word Golf in 1 inch letters matted and pop dotted on to the G
Tennis -2 inch letters matted and stitched that spell Tennis, 2 photo mats, sewn, 1 inch letters matted that spell the words - Love, Nothing, Serve

I didn't like my title for basketball so now I have done an 4 inch altered letter that is matted and sewed - the top layer is basketball paper then the word basketball is in letters 3/4 in that are matted and adhered to letter....2 photo mats out of the paper that the letter is made of..the 2 layers of the B are stitched together.

Already finished
Baseball -Title die cut Play ball with glitter baseball in the middle pop dotted on a 3 by 7.5 mat that is matted and sewn, JB and photo mats
Basketball - title and 2 JB's
Camping - Letters to spell Campfire and a photo mat and JB with campfire paper piecings on them
Hiking - Letters to spell Hike and a paper piecing of trees and one of a hiking boot that has been chalked for shading. I want to chalk the trees and I can't find them
Hunting-Archery/projectile - Paper Piecing of a rifle and Photo Mats
Picnic/BBQ - Letters that spell Picnic with mat and shadow with chalk for shading and a paper piecing of a picnic table
Pool B - Title frame and squares and journal box

:cheer2: :cheer2: Go Susie!!!

I have nothing done:sad2: Still 2 more character spots to do.

I still have to finish my character swap but I was sick of working on Disney (gasp - shock).

I have to bag everything and take pictures.

I plan to finish the elements up by the weekend and then finish the character swap this weekend.

I want to be able to mail the Pet swap and this swap together.

Hi all! Just popping in to say I have nothing done & won't for awhile. But you all are making great progress!

I love the wordle - I would see it on a large tag with a fibre/backing paper which echoed the colours:goodvibes

For those of you in the Museum group

How generic are you making yours?

Snap!:lmao: I've done a topper "step back in time" and I can't remember - mat and box I think - but I didn't use the dinosaur paper as Kicky has already nicked it;)

For the Museum group, I am making mine for an Art Museum. I bought some paper that looks like a Van Gogh painting. Still not sure where I am heading with it, but it will definitely be for an Art Museum.

I finished my Toy group - I added an extra set of squares - the top layer is printed, same as the 2nd layer on the topper. Letters on the topper are welded and shadowed.

Question - I wanted to do a paper piecing with paper dolls for both baseball and football but there aren't uniforms on there for either. My creative head is blocked. Any ideas how to do that? There is a plain 'costume' I was thining might work for a baseball uniform and then I have pooh which has a cap but no clue on football at all.
