We are considering booking a hotel+ticket package with Complete Orlando. SSR isn't even showing as available for our dates on the WDW website at the moment, however it was last week and I wrote down the cost for 13 nights+14-day tickets+free DDP: £2001. I've just had a look at Complete Orlando and the same package costs just £1774- that's £227 less!!

I know this company has already been discussed at length on here and from what I can gather, they are reputable. I just don't get how they are able to charge so much less than Disney. :confused3

I would like to ask the inevitable questions:

- Who has booked with Complete Orlando? Do you feel confident with your decision?
- Has anyone returned from a holiday they had booked with them? If so, how were they?

:)

ETA: Am I right in thinking we would lose our money if they went under? I see they are ATOL protected but isn't that only revelant for flight-inclusive packages? They are not a member of ABTA.

I had to make the choice last week.
Difference for us (2 families) was approx £300 but Disney pay 3% thru Quidco so that was half the difference, £150 split beteen 2 families I decided to go with Disney and pay the extra.
I was 95% confident booking with CO, always hear good reports about them and a good track record but the 5% doubt got the better of me.
If they did have problems I wouldn't mind having to claim on my credit card, I was more bothered about losing the free dining, I doubt Disney would honour if the offer had closed.
If it was just us I would have gone with CO but taking relatives who have never been before and with a 3 year old looking forward to the character meals I don't want anything to go wrong.

Just had a message from Quidco, only 1 of the reservations tracked, they wanted more info so hope the other reservation tracks now.

ATOL cover flight inclusive
ABTA package
Hotel only no cover as far as I know.

The Law
There are two statutory schemes that exist to protect your money and to ensure that you’ll be brought home if your travel company goes out of business. These schemes apply to package holidays and to some flight-only arrangements.

There’s no legal requirement that flights bought direct from an airline, or accommodation-only sales, are protected.

Thanks Wayne.

I've recently joined Quidco so I suppose I should take the 3% into account, although I have no idea when the SSR/OKW offer will return to the WDW site, if it even does. :confused3

If it doesn't return, I think we will have to go with CO. We were considering AKL and WL too, as both are reasonably priced on the WDW site. Having thought about it though, I'd miss the fridge and little kitchen space that we had a SSR this year.

The fridges in AKL are a good size. :)

Have you thought about AKV? You can get a great deal renting points!!

Check out DVCrequest.com

Only downside is the whole amount has to be paid upfront.

13 nights next September is coming up as $1963 (standard view) or $2470 (Sav view).

No DDP or tickets though remember.

ETA: Or only $1677 in a value studio, but they go very fast!

Thanks Victoria. Great prices there but we'd like to have DDP again. I suppose we could pay for it though... Hmm, need to do some calculations!

We're thinking of renting points for a one-night stay somewhere before our cruise, so thanks for the website recommendation. :thumbsup2

We did this last year.Had 6 night SSR free DDP and then rented 4 nights DVC AKLV(£351 and paid for the ddp which was $323 dollors for the 4 nights. I was also looking at OKW for nov/dec next year but it has gone off Disney UK but on CO:confused3.Still diliberating over 4 and 7 night cruise though. The more I read the more I want to do the 7 night -less time in disney but theming /characters still on board in a way. If we do 7 though will prob have to stay off site to keep the cost down a bit as no free DDP when we want to go

£351 is a fantastic price for four nights at AKLV! We're doing a 4-night cruise. It's our first one so we think it's the perfect length (i.e. not too long, just in case we don't like it!).

I know it was 54 points at £6.50 a point and we had a savannah view which was absolutley amazing.Staying through disUK would have cost double so DVC is great if your not bothered about the Free DDP. Doing one night is a good idea before your cruise. I asked about when to do a cruise on the cruiseline board as we were toying when to do it. Most said the end but I think doing the cruise then going straight home would leave me a bit down so may plump for middle depending what we eventually decide.Cannot make my mind up about anything at the moment:rotfl: Have you booked a cabin of your own and which one? I want to be on a higher floor and dont mind inside if we do a 4 night but think I would need a porthole for a week.

Hiya, We have booked for next year with CO, they seem a really dedicated and honest company, always return calls and emails... Saved us about £200 !

Our friends have used them also and never had any problems with there booking....

ssr/okw has gone from VH site as well, i have booked but my parents havent yet and i dont know if it will reappear

Thanks Wayne.

WL is lovely but shared buses can take you a while to get from resort to parks and back. I know you don't hire a car either.

You will still have the fridge in your room, but not the kitchenette. Did you make a lot of use of your kitchenette at SSR?

I can see why it would make more sense to do the cruise at the end of the trip, however I would be far too upset to be going home straight after! Doing it in the middle would work out well too.

We've booked a deluxe inside stateroom, category 10A. :thumbsup2

That's true. The buses at SSR were usually very quiet.

We didn't use the microwave but we used the toaster (for Pop Tarts- see my tag!). The room seemed so much bigger because of the kitchenette.

We have booked with complete orlando for next year and so far they have been great. I would have preferred to book flights myself and hotel and tickets with disney like we did this year but the savings were too tempting. As for booking flight inclusive with disney I cant believe anyone does that, the prices are horrendous !

I have booked 19 nights at SSR through Complete Orlando. Foolishly didn't realise the difference between ATOL & ABTA. Now kind of wishing I just went with Disney. Difference after Quidco was still nearly £200. Booked with my Amex, am I definitely correct in saying that if it all went horribly wrong with CO, I could claim back on my Amex and would get a full refund. Always see threads about companies going out of business but have no experience of it happening, thankfully. Wouldn't be the end of the world if we lost the SSR booking but to lose over £3K would be pretty bad.
Thanks

I don't think you have much to worry about, worst case is you lose free dining if the offer ends but they seem a strong company, I would have used them if just us.
