I am overwhelmed with information after reading several of the threads here. We're going to WDW in Feb. and want to add two days at the end to do Discovery Cove & SeaWorld. We'd like to stay onsite (do they even have "onsite"?) Also, is 2 days enough? Our son loves dolphins and rays. Any other information for someone who has never been would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi! When you book Discovery Cove you will get admission to Seaworld for a max of 2 weeks I think. (I've had a season pass to Seaworld for 10 years or more and have been to Discovery Cove once). Honestly I'd recommend spending two days at Seaworld if you can spare one more day! It's definitely possible to go to all the shows and rides and animal exhibits in one full day, but you will be rushing from attraction to attraction with little time to relax and enjoy the animals. I can sit for a hour at the stingray feeding tank just petting the rays as they swim by! I think you would appreciate the second day to revisit your favorites and so you can spread out the shows. The shows are very re-watchable as well... especially the Clyde and Seamore Take Pirate Island show! The actors are usually different each day and you never know what will go wrong and make it even funnier!

There are plenty of hotels around the park, but I don't believe that there are any "on-site" like at Disney. (this could have changed though! I always stay in Kissimmee)

oh, and look into the all day dining deal! If you are going to eat more than one meal at the park, it could save you money! The free drinks and bottled water with the plan are really helpful on hot days!

I agree with the poster above. Especially with the 2 days at Seaworld part. I'm not sure if the 2 weeks admission to Seaworld is unlimited or not when you purchase a Discovery Cove Package, but that's something I would look into. If it is unlimited admission for 2 weeks, then I would definitely take advantage of a 2nd day at Seaworld. I'm sure you'll have a great time. When planning your day, plan around the shows and show times. Plan to visit exhibits around the show stadium before and after the posted show time. For example, if you want to see a 2:15 Sealion show, then visit exhibits/shops and places to eat around the Sealion show stadium from 1:00-2:00 and again from 3:00-4:00. This way your not running all over the park and you'll save time.

As far as an "On Site" location. There is actually a brand new hotel that just opened last year which is directly across the street from Seaworld and near Discovery Cove. It is partnered with Seaworld, so staying there will earn you special perks. From the site.... "SeaWorld Official Hotel Partner - Exclusive benefits apply including front-of-line passes and dining discounts."

Here is the site of the hotel for more information....
