>> Complete New Pricing: ALL TIX / ALL OPTIONS <<

I am going to upgrade my 1 day base from my package to a 4 day base today at the current prices. When I get to the resort and use a few of those days, can I add a few days still locked into the old prices?

Once you use a ticket, it goes to the current gate price. Any upgrades will also be at the current gate price. For example, we purchased highly discounted 10 hoppers through DH's work. When we get to WDW we'll go in the gate with those tickets and then it will be worth, $287 v. what we paid. We'll then upgrade to APs (since this AP will actually get us 30 days in the park this use year) at the current AP price of $469.

It seems like this should be easy enough to understand but can you just make sure that I have this right.

I currently have a 7-day pass included in my package for December (so it isn't used yet). If I want to add a day now (after the price increases), I will go from old 7-day ($233) to new 8-day ($246) for an increase of $13. If I wait and use it first, it will go from new 7-day ($243) to new 8-day ($246) for an increase of $3....is this right?

No, you won't be locked into the old prices at that point. But you'll pay the difference between the price of the upgrade and the 2009 price of what you bought at 2008 prices, rather than the price of the upgrade minus the amount you actually paid.

In other words, TODAY you're paying a total of $225.78 (I realize you already paid for one day, but the total remains the same).

Let's say after you've been there for a few days you decide to add 3 more days to the ticket. The total sale price, at the "new" rates, of a 7-day base ticket is $242.82. Your 4-day ticket already in your hand will get you a credit of $233.24 towards that purchase, so you'll pay $9.58 for adding 3 days.

If you were given credit for what you actually paid ($225.78) instead of the new "value" of that 4-day ticket ($233.24), you'd have to pay $17.04 for adding those 3 days at the park.

To put it simply the AP is cheaper, yes. However, you want to think about when you will use those remaining days. Is it within 365 days of first use--get the AP (and all the bonus discounts). If you're using 5 days this year and 5 days in two years, get the 10 day ticket with no expiration.

I saved a little over $60.00 (after taxes) thanks to UT :) (2 adult and 1 child -6 day MYW tix)

Thank you everyone for all the great info :grouphug:

We just decided to run to the Disney store today and buy 4 10 day PH no expiration today (3A & 1C) before the increase tomorrow. We are not positive we will go twice in the one year time frame. We may miss it by 1 month. If we are forced to buy tickets for a package when the Disney Visa discount comes out in mid-August, we will just save the tickets for the future. It is my understanding that we could upgrade a childs ticket to an adult without a problem or fee.

For the poster asking about an increase in price of the DDE ... nothing has been announced on that so far.

OK, so I run to the Disneystore to buy my 4 10 day PH non-expiration tickets today before the increase and they tell me they only sell up to 7 day tickets:scared1: Now I'm like, Now what do I do ? . A CM there asks me if I have an AAA card, which I do, and says "beleive me, I work there, go buy tickets over there now before they close."

So I jump in my car:car: and race to AAA (my first time there) and buy my tickets. Adult ticket $458.55, Child ticket $419.83.:woohoo: :woohoo: I saved $242.00 buying my ticket today!!!:thumbsup2

I have 4 one-day tickets from a previous trip which have not been used yet. Can I upgrade them over the phone today, before the prices go up tomorrow? If so, where do I call to do this?

You would've saved more if you ordered from Undercover Tourist.

Tickets that have already been issued cannot be upgraded over the phone -- only tickets that are part of a package which you have not received. If you upgrade them in the parks, use the tickets to enter one of the parks and then upgrade at guest relations. Once you enter a park, the ticket will be worth $75 towards an upgrade.

I know you are already spending a lot of money, but if it were me, when I get to WDW I'd add on Water parks. It would cost you $216 and you would get 10 trips to WP's that never expire!! What a deal!!

(edited to add): Holy cow! I just figured that out......do you realize that is $5.33 a day per person!! I was wrong, it's $213 total.

don't know if you go to them or not, but they are a lot of fun and if you want to stretch your 10 day tickets into two trips, nothing does that like a couple of trips to the WP's.

Our last visit we had 10 day base tickets that we added WP's on. We were there for 14 days so we toured the parks for 10 and 4 days at WP's. It was great. Then you don't feel like you have to stay all day at the WPs because you are getting it so cheap. We went 4 times because our tickets expired.

you would have WP tickets for the next decade!:rotfl:

Went today to my local Air Force Base (i'm not military) and bought two 10 day hoppers for $270 each and an AP for $448.00; no tax.:cool1: :thumbsup2 This is a yearly tradition for us as we live on the DIS. Once we hear that the ticket prices are increasing, we always buy them the day before.:teacher: At least we save a little money, but anything helps.

How do you get them at the AFB (Lackland?) if you're not military? I'd like to keep that in mind for future reference :goodvibes I ordered extras from Undercover Tourist last night, so my family is covered for at least a few years :dance3:

As long as it was already used by that child, this is correct. Otherwise, no problem, but a fee between the amount spent (since you can't use it first now being an adult) and the current adult ticket.

Undercover Tourist is now sold out. I don't believe I would have saved anymore. I think the price would have been very close and I feel more comfortable spending $1800 with a company that I physically can visit in person with and work out any problems that might arise. I am just a little leary about spending so much money with an internet company. Thank you though ;)

I have read about what a bargain those type of tickets are! We have never been to any of Disney's water parks and now since I have a high schooler, we don't really have the time. We could only squeeze in Disney during school holiday times and it is only for a few days :sad1: I miss my 7 day Disney vacations.

Maple Leaf Tickets, who is also a ticket discounter, according to All Ears, will honor old pricing until August 5th. There are still hope!

Gotcha. Just thought I would pass the info on.

I know what you mean about high schoolers...........she has off for spring break plus Good Friday and we will take her out one day, so we can have 9 nights all together. Our spring breaks don't follow Easter, it's just a fluke this year so I am taking it. But I'm going at one of the busiest times of the year! uggh. Normally we wouldn't get this long of a break.

We could go end of Aug. next year, but I would really appreciate better weather next time. I love the low crowds but the humidity is a killer.

As far as Undercover Tourist......I was skeptical at first also. I told DH, what if it gets lost in the mail or something? UT said it could take up to 12 days. We got them in 3!! I couldn't believe it. Now, UT discount is great, but when you add the mousesavers discount on top of that.....wow! It's a great deal. I don't know what the discount was on the old tickets, but now the discount is like $42 off gate price for 10 ph/no exp.. Not bad.
