Just left the office to go get lunch. Went to my car and noticed dust all over the drivers side of it. Just thought oh well another visit to the car wash. Got in the car, reached for the key in the ignation.....something wrong here, no key. Ok get key out of bag.... no key in bag. Must have left it at my desk.....back up 3 flights of stairs......no key at desk. Stand there scratching head for a while. Check e-mail.....no office e-mail saying keys have been found. Ok think, maybe lost keys between front door and stairs and someone from the company downstairs picked them up. Down 3 flights of stairs and into other office......no keys....I DID drive to work this morning didn't i??? Retrace steps back to car... maybe i lost them on the way and no one picked them up? Get to front of car no keys......colleugue (sp?) pulls into the parking space beside my car asks what i'm looking for. My car keys. Ummm they're in the door of the car!!!!!! I'd unlocked the car, gotten distracted by the dust, gotten into the car, and never realised i'd just left them in the door!!!! If it was Monday morning i'd understand but it's tuesday lunchtime!
