I am about to embark on my first scrapbook and am looking for four different colors of 12 x 12 cardstock paper. I looked at the JoAnn fabric site (no crafts stores nearby) but all the selections are kind of overwhelming, plus I didn't seem to find exactly what I am looking for. Which is the colors of the Med cruises logo, what I would describe as dark red/burgandy, mustard, dark navy, and light teal. Here is a picture from ebay that shows the colors:

Anyone know where I can buy these? And what colors they are? I would like a high-quality paper that I could use in a top-loading album.

Thanks!!

have you tried the Bazzill Basics website? They have every color in the rainbow and then some. I love Bazzill cardstock.

I'll look there now. I understand that Bazzill is a brand name, but what makes it different than other kinds of cardstock?

Thank you!

Bazzill cardstock is textured. Think the weave of fabric, or the skin on an orange...there are several textures. For me that's one of the nice things. It's also heavier than most other CS.

But the biggest draw is that they have colors that "match". I recently got a shade of purple in 4 different values...from deep purple to pale. There might actually be 5 shades I can't remember. My LSS has multiple purple groups to choose from as well (same for other colors too.) Some are more red, some are more blue, but all are "purple". It works out great for monochromatic matting!!

Just recently MazdaUK mentioned that there's something in it (recycled plastic??) that makes it heavy that also causes it to be hard on your cutting tools. I haven't used it enough to run into that problem yet though.

ETA: Oh - and AC Moore just recently started carrying it by the sheet.

it's a heavy weight cardstock with one textured side and a multitude of colors. You can pretty much find just about every color you could ever need.

I love to use it!

I'm really lucky these days! I'm halfway between 2 of them. :teeth:

Memory Lane is in Quakertown, but can be really tough to find. It's in what looks like a small industrial complex. They have far more Bazzill than the other one.

The Crop Room is in Hatfield/Colmar (near Lansdale) right across from Wal-Mart. It used to be Make It Unforgettable until last December. I actually haven't been to this one since it changed hands.

I've heard some really good things about Inspired Treasures over in Gilbertsville. I haven't been there though. I just saw on their website that they've been closed a while for re-organizing things, but will re-open tomorrow! AND they have a coupon for 20% off one item that's good on the 20th of every month! Neither of mine offers discounts or coupons. ;)

Deb I use Bazzill a lot and have never had a problem with it being hard on my tools. I'm sure I nee to replace my blades more often on my trimmer but it's thicker than paper so that would be an obvious assumption that the blades would need to be changed no matter what cardstock I used. Thicker is thicker.
