COMPLETE- ACTIVE Disney Sketch Swap

here's my China page....need opinions please --- not really digging the title, should it be bigger? or I could make Mulan's parasol with my cricut to add by it

I translated the following words for the grid

Love happiness Fun
Joy Memories Family
Dreams Laughter Magic

added the red journal strips since I didn't want to cover up the words, the PM's are black so not showing up well...this is the left side of Double page Sketch #10

got the idea for this when Megan had a school project that had to be translated into Chinese...didn't even know I had that capability on my computer!

I think China needs to be in red ink or have a red shadow. That should pull it all together. The translations are really neat!

I kept debating & I love the Mickey heads but hadn't decided on anything AK was the only one that something popped into my head right off. Epcot is always the one I have the hardest time with - may do test track instead or soarin - gotta think about it some more (I think I have time to play around)

Reddy, I was gonna do Test Track for the Epcot 2 pg. group. I would trade you except i already bought the paper... Hope this is OK.

I'm still thinking on Epcot - I did see a LO that was Titled "Fun & Games"
it had games pieces so copying that idea completely isn't an option but I liked the title.

my other thought is to do Character Spot - I have that sign set up in SCAL, there was a LO that had 5 picture spots then another spot that was big enough to hold another 4x6 but was divided into 6 2x2 - I kinda thought that would be good for head to toe pics of the characters - I don't rember what # stekch it was

What do ya think??

apparrently I was thinking of another site - how #1 or #4 with Character Spot?? I kinda think it needs lots of pictures

I think most people take the up/down picture with characters, so #1 would work better for that. But pick the one that works best for what papers you have in mind.

thanks Annie and Cassey...played around with it a bit last night and you are right with adding a red layer of paper! will post later on

reddy love the character spot idea!

here is my group #H

China - added the red mat behind title...I will be including a list of what the words are in english

Italy - I found this great paper at SYT...so cut out all the photos and added extra's to the bottom....I cut the journal strips, but wasn't happy of how they looked on the LO, so I am including them if you want to add them on later....the title was actually part of the paper I bought-- it was red with white boarder but didn't go with the other colors so I inked it with tea dye...guess what I used a packing peanut, it worked great to add the ink :thumbsup2

hope you all like them! will finish putting these together tonight!

Annie I will mail my box after we get back from Hawaii, will let you know!

What a neat idea to make the title work for the page!

I think they both look great.

So many great pages!

I am checking in -- I have all of my pages fully planned, CDS and SCAL work ready, and all of my supplies pulled. I just need to pick up some silver ribbon. I finished my taxes today and I have just two pieces to make for another swap; this will have my full attention next week. I hope to do a little paper cutting tomorrow.

thanks! :goodvibes I really enjoyed putting the last two pages together!

Lisa, you amaze me girl! Those pages ROCK!

Reddy, Character Spot works for me! I agree with Annie about a sketch that uses more vertical photo orientation is my top choice but I can make any of them work. I always take a horizontal too because of the WDW autograph book sleeves. I'll love whatever you make!

If you have already checked in or posted a photo of your work recently, I have marked you purple.

If you all could check in this weekend, that would be great.

I know it is Spring Break for many, so just a quick "I'm here and I have plans/paper/ideas/work done" Nothing detailed needed.

I will be leaving tomorrow afternoon for my camping trip. I don't know what the internet will be like, but I will try to tether with my son's adroid.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

going with #1
got the "sign" cut out
debating on using black or white paper for the background - most of other paper is picked - some cut
DHS needs the journeling box added otherwise it is done - other 2 that I"m in are done

have fun camping Annie! guess your DH's foot must be better to drive :goodvibes

thanks for the swap  I love doing the sketches, feel it makes me think out of the box more :thumbsup2

I'm still working. I have gotten the 2 countries for the single pg. layout WS group finished except for the titles. Those are cut and bagged and I'll be assembling those pesky little letters on the drive to Chicago. I have papers for the rest of my groups.

He can drive to work fine, so we are going to see how towing goes this weekend. Fingers crossed.

Hopefully my biggest concern of having to drive is relieved. We still need to wait and see if he is healed enough for cave exploring in May. If he is not better by then, we have serious issues. But, I'm thinking it will be fine.

Thanks for the updates so far.

You can mail when you are ready. I have the drawers ready.
