COMPLETE ABC Letter/Elements Swap

Okay now for a vent.....went by my local Mikes after picking Megan up...they have little Disney stuff, no indivual papers only packs it was pretty pathetic...got to try Joanns and the Mikes by my mom's tomorrow.

I agree with the crappy selection of Disney papers at Mikes anymore. Even there regular paper they now have are pricey and random in there theme'ing.IDK if you have Jo-ann's ETC in your neck of the woods but ours here in AZ got a ton of new Disney paper now even Bambi and dumbo!!!
If you need anything dont hesitate to ask me I would be willing to send you paper and just pay me for it

I agree try JoAnns when I there on Monday they had a TON of single sheet Disney paper.

Hey peeps sooooo I was going through my sketches for my Frontierland ideas and check this out for the letter "F" In an Old west Font style and going from bottom to top
Dark Brown Cardstock Mat
Kraft Color Cardstock Second Mat (think paper lunch bag) paper (distressed) I'm gonna crumple the paper and use Tim Holtz brown Ink lightly smeared on it. so it looks old west beat up. And the letter paper is Red Bandanna and or cowboy paper.

God I hope that makes sense to everyone.....
For those of you who don't know me I am more of a mixed media artist now than a scrapper but my first love is PAPER!!!! I still love scrapbooking I'm just branching out now.

Okay, I think I am updated to here.

I like the idea of Queue for the Q in places & things. If you have the Mickey or Pooh or even Princess carts - cut their full body shapes on blackout at about a 1-1/2 and line them up on the bottom of your mat, box and element. Using a lined pattern paper for the Q and we get a cut play on the word.

Surina, I think I get your idea and it sounds pretty cool.

Oh, and our JoAnn's has better Disney paper than Michaels too. Hobby Lobby only has the paper packs and page kits for paper.

I knew, knew, knew I should have gotten a sign-up buddy. I will definitely be scraplifting a bunch from group A... and B... and C. Making 3 ABC books for my nieces and nephew. We leave for their first trip in 24 days, 23 hours, 14 minutes and 27 second (nope, I'm not excited at all)

I look forward to seeing everyone's great work!

Wow, things got crazy overnight. AWM - if you wanna smack me for suggesting the change I'm ok with that. My DH says I need to keep my bright ideas to myself.

For all of you posting that you have a Joann's with lots of Disney papers....would someone be willing to pick some up for me and I'll pay for it and the shipping? I only have Michaels and AC Moore and the selection at both is really crappy eventhough they are fairly new stores. We do have a Joanns, but it is a really tiny store and they only carry the 81/2X11 papers. Go figure!

Out of this World - with a space theme was a really cool idea. I have paper if you want it for this one. Oh boy - would also work I think.

Y is a little bit harder. I think we can all agree to stretch the limits for this one.
So how about YoHo with a pirate theme or Yellow balloons or Yawn with a nap theme. Or Yippee or Yee Haw.

I still can't believe this swap filled up in 24 hours. It's crazy.

If we have more people who want to play, I would be willing to open up another group. I think the general color one would be the most useful and easiest to complete.

It was a fun frenzy last night. I am not usually so fluid. I think we did really well with change on the fly like that.

The Disney papers are $0.99 to $1.99 each sheet. What kind do you think you want and how many? I need to go and look at stuff anyway, so I can certainly grab you some too.

I will be off to Joanns this morning, there is a "SuperStore" one by my mom's that is supposed to have everything I will report back what I find incase anyone needs something they can't find at their stores.

AWM, Its great we got all the spots filled so quickly, I'm excited to start working on these, pretty much have my ideas done, just need to find all my stuff.

Went to Hobby Lobby last nite and got the cutest paper & ribbon & ribbon slide flowers for Lilo I have most of the general paper, but, I'll also being going to JoAnns sometime this weekend if anyone wants me to look for stuff So excited to start cutting!!!

I have "blue atoms" by Paper Pizzazz - this one I know Joann's still has.
I also have 9 sheets of the "Superman Outerspace" by Creaive Imaginations. This is an out of print paper. I used it for Tomorrowland and Cosmic Ray groups in different swaps.

Are you need lots of sheets for your groups here? I will pick up some of each new paper for you, but don't want to give a boat load of what you won't use. Your DH would kill me.
