I go to pay my Verizon phone bill. I did it over the phone with one of their phone reps. This was on Saturday. The payment was for two hundred dollars. On Tuesday I look at my checking account on line I see two more payments of two hundred dollars has been deducted. I call right away since I don't have a spare 400.00 laying around. The rep says I'll take care of that . I'll have a request put in right away and you should see a credit in 24 hours. I check the next day no credit. I get another rep on the phone. This one says I't takes 24-72 hours. I am starting to get really upset. To take a payment out, there is know problem, but to correct their error it becomes an impossible feat. I again call 2 days later the new rep says she dosen't even see a request. So he then says I will take care of it with my supervisor we will have this back to you in 24 hours. As of today no credit. I talked to a supervisor who then tells me I don't know who you spoke with but this could take a week. Seven buisness days excluding the weekend. She informs me her hands are tied. The request has to go to two different states, they review it with the bank and then it's put back. Isn't that great! She then proceeds to tell me we are sorry but we are all human. First of all ,all the reps need to be on the same page. You don't tell the customer 24 hours ect.. You say it will take a week. So the angry customer dosen't expect her hard earned money in 24 hours. What I want to say is the next time I make a payment I'll say to them ,now I'm not sure if my payment will be there in a day ,week, two, you know times are tight just keep watching I'm sure it will get to your state soon. You know what they will do! Within two seconds disconnect me.

I made a $700 payment to Disney using my checking account and they deducted twice. Not only did I not really like losing double what I thought I was paying, but since I was using a different checking account, that i only keep a small amount in for "fun money" it knocked me overbalance.
