Now that I am thinking about I am wondering if she really did have access to the whole file...my husband was in the hospital over night and I am not sure how long the woman who hit him was in for. If she had been able to read the whole file maybe she wouldn't have said anything???

Dream1...do you think she had access to the whole claim? It was WC bcause he was on the way to work in a company van.

Sammie...I never thought about someone trying to take a picture off the wall....I guess people will try anything!!!!

Truly they do and I do understand completely how horrified this must have been for you.

I just am not sure where we can lay the blame. I have friends that work at Disney resorts. The things they share about the damage to the rooms is truly at times almost unreal. Ceiling fans damaged from kids hanging from them. Lights over the bed, ripped out by someone doing "pull ups
while lying in bed. Tables and chairs damaged and left to look like nothing had happened until someone else finds them.

It truly is sad what goes on and the guest following that destruction is usually the one most affected.

I don't think she should have thrown that back in your face that they knew that. It insinuates that the WC claim could have been fradulent and puts you on the defensive. If you actually filed suit, I could see them bringing that out but not at this point.

I agree. Seems like the OP did experiece some workers without good communication skills.

The kleenex and wrapper could have been from the housekeeper and they were clean sheets. No excuse for leaving a mess behind but you may have been worrying about dirty sheets for nothing.

you chance it.....NOT ME

its gross

I cannot say what she had access to. I can say that the reports we have seen are basic general information on who, what and when. They did not give specifics as to the 'Why" of the incident. Example..........john doe----->Claim date 1998------> Workman's Comp----->filed against ******-----Claim #***

They can then request fruther details from the appropriate source. Once again, enjoy this info with salt, as i am not the one who uses the program. :teeth:

Now the tude of this calims lady has me mad ;--(

I do care that your child could have died. Everyone has made some good points about being realistic and after reading those posts, I have to agree. For what we pay at disney we should expect better service especially when children are more involved because we are at disney but this is the real world. After your experience, I don't think I would be able to walk into another hotel room without checking under the bed and all over the floor. I think your experience has taught all of us a valuable lesson and from it you could have saved more childrens lives without knowing it. Thank you. :goodvibes

Disneyfan3...Thanks. I know I learned a lesson...I always checked the room but never thought to look under the bed....now I know better and I hope this does prompt more people to look under the bed also.

Just an update....After speaking to Angela last Thursday and accepting Disneys offer she said she would fax me a release to sign and fax back. No fax yet!!! I tried to reach Angela yesterday and today but she has not returned my call. What am supposed to think????? :confused3

having just returned from Vegas, staying in a 3 1/2 star hotel for 4 nights, I can now say YES I agree with the OP on this now. I checked under our beds, checked to make sure garbage was out and stuff was cleaned and restocked. It was. Thinking about this subject makes me realize, we were in VEGAS where housekeeping has to do the majority of the work in a short time due to the LATE sleeping in VEGAS, but they always seemed to get the job done and very well at FULL CAPACITY this week folks, yes at 2,800 rooms all full, my room was vaccumed and bathroom cleaned and garbage out and bedding made and cleaned to high standards! Reflecting on it now, I realize that Disney, like any other hotel of moderate price and or deluxe accomodations ESPECIALLY...should be up to snuff. Looks like Vegas has the $$ to keep employees dealing the cards, supplying the drinks, entertaining the masses...etc on a 24/7 basis!!! We ate awesome prime rib at 3 am in Vegas :) my point is, CM's and hotel cleanliness should be very nice at Disney and we as consumers should be able to voice and or be comepensated for things going wrong due to Disney and or the employees!! I am really looking forward to SEPTEMBER!! :flower:

Does anyone know the phone # for Guest Relations? I still do not have the release letter and it has been 12 day since Angela was going to fax it to me!!! I can't find the Risk Management # that I had. :sad2: :sad1:

I got the # for Guest Relation and they transfered me to Guest Claims. I left a message for Angela yesterday and this morning. No return phoe call, no faxed release, no release in the mail....I can't believe this is how they treat people!!!

Guest Relations handles park situations so they were correct in transferring you to Guest Claims It sounds like you have gotten in touch with the correct person in Angela. It is possible that Angela may have had her weekend (2 days off in a row) when you tried to reach her, or perhaps in on vacation.

With all the stress this has caused you, the day pass is no longer worth it! :sad2:

No...she was in they said she was on her phone both times and transfered me to her voice mail. I left voice mail both times!!!!

If I have not heard back by tomorrow I am going to demand to speak to a supervisor.
