Which one do you like best and why? Is the food quality the same at all 3? We have only ever eaten at Storyteller's at the Grand Californian. I loved the buffet but my kids might enjoy the characters more at one of the other hotels. My kids did love the Camping themed games the cast member played with them. Is there something like that at the other breakfasts?

How old are your kids? We love Surf's Up because we love Stitch and the food. Our daughter like those characters best, and they have a fun dance session.

I can only comment on storytellers and surfs up, but IMO the characters are better and usually more frequent at your table at surfs up unless you prefer chip, dale, and the bear. Picture with beach mickey if you have a photopass plus (or option to buy or use your own camera if not) is also a plus for surfs up. Seating area is larger, slightly fancier, and more woodsy at storytellers, whereas surfs up is fairly close together, more like a denny's/diner quality. Food is very similar at both places, some items I slightly preferred at surfs up.

My son loved Surfs Up! because it was less crowded and he had lots of great interaction with the characters. When you first walk in you get a picture with Mickey (siggy pic). DS loved Stitch and Pluto; they really engaged with him. Food was really good IMO; DS loved the Mickey waffles. I really loved the servers; they were all very friendly. Every half hour or so they do huge dance party where they call up all the kids and the characters lead them in a dance.

Have done them all a few times with mostly adults and/or older teens and here is my take:

Goffy's Kitchen: Best Disney "experience" and food selection but food is rather bland to appeal to the masses. Not bad, just nothing great (except maybe for the PB&J Pizza!) Key characters but only make a few quick rounds since the place is so big. We have always left with just a "meh".

Plaza Inn: Bad cafeteria food...bland as bland could be and limited selections...worst food by far in my opinion. Characters can be hit or miss...mostly miss in my times there.

PCH Grill: Decent selection and decent taste and have a bit more than just they typical breakfast staples. This is one of my favorite go to's for breakfast when taking newbies. By far have had the BEST character interaction as it is a smaller place ans they get around more frequently and will spend more time with ya at the table.

Storytellers: Was pretty bad until recently...they seemed to have stepped up their game. Been twice in the last year and have been impressed with the food taste but not a huge selection and would now put them at the top for food taste, but characters can be dismal. Last two times I was there I thought "Gee, if I really cared about the characters in my character meal I would be ticked I paid for this"

So all depends on what you want outta your meal:

Best food taste: Storytellers
Best Character interaction: PCH Grill
Best overall Disney "experience": Goffy's Kitchen
Best to avoid (in my opinion): Plaza Inn

I have been to Goofys Kitchen, PCH Grill, and Storytellers.

to copy what ParkHopper1 has:

Best food taste: all of them are pretty equal for breakfast (IMO). Eggs, Mickey waffles, omelet station in all i think

Best Character interaction: I liked Goofy's Kitchen. Character's do a fun little dance when they walk in waving napkins and each character comes to your table to interact. I think all of the dining has some little dance where kids can dance with the characters, but Goofy's Kitchen seemed to be more interactive.

Best overall Disney "experience": Goofy's Kitchen

Side note: You are only guaranteed to see Mickey at PCH Grill, Stitch in only at PCH Grill too.

Have fun, hope this helps!
