Comparing slides to new OKW dimensions...

In the recent Vacation Magic it says the new OKW slide will be 120 feet long and 18 feet high. (Structure being 32 feet high.)

I was curious how this compares to the other DVC resort slides? Anyone know or have any figures?


Also... I changed our spring break trip in April from BCV to OKW. Girls have never stayed there and I am hoping the new slide will be finished, plus this gives us enough points to stay an extra night. The Vacation Magic states the main pool will be closed thru September 6 to mid December. When I asked the MS CM today she told me she can't give me an idea as to a date it will be completed. I was just hoping to find out if it would indeed be ready by April??? Thoughts?

The SSR slide was reported at 104' in the Member Clubhouse.

I'm sure they are going to try and keep as close as possible to the December slide schedule. The third hurricane bearing down on the area may put them behind schedule but I would guess it would be compeleted well before April.

There would be A LOT of angry guests if the slide was still under construction in April. I would say don't worry about it.

Good, that sounds like a pretty nice slide then cause I thought SSR's slide was pretty good. My DD should rack up alot of miles on it then.

Ya, I mentioned this before, but when I mentioned to my DD 6 that we would be staying at OKW for spring break she said - YUCK! I asked why she would say that she has never even been there before and she told me it was OLD... Like as in Old Key West. I had to explain that was just a name!


Anyway, the pictures of the new slide got her pretty excited about staying there so it best be there in April or I'm in trouble!
