I just pulled up through search a list of the square feet for the different DVC villas.
BCV studio is 356. We stayed there last trip and thought it was quite small. I then pulled up All-Star Movies which are 260, Coronado, 314 for standard rooms. These were the last rooms we had stayed in before BCV.
I can't believe it. Why did the studio seem just as small as ASM and even smaller than CS, when it was actually larger?
Weird...

Maybe it's because the furniture in the BCV is larger ie: queen bed and sofa sleeper and nice size dresser and TV combo and larger table and chairs.

I've never stayed in the CSR but we did stay in the BCV and through is was spacious for a studio.

Just a guess - maybe the queen bed space plus the space taken up by the kitchenette made it feel about the same size?

We just booked out first trip home for Jan/04 with the parents and SIL and her 2 kids - 1 1BR and 1 2BR - s/b fun

thanks

Well, since I am on OKW owner, mine is bigger than all of yours, even if its location is only OK.

Ah yes, but it is not size that matters...it's how much fun you have and as BWV owners, mine is clearly more fun than yours! :bounce:  :bounce:

(Well...Ok, I really like OKW too! :) )

To try to keep this back on topic, you may also find that VWL feels even smaller than BCV (although I didn't feel either were small, but BCV seemed a little larger to me). I think it's the darker colors that make VWL seem smaller. BCV seemed larger, but I assumed it was because of the lighter, brighter colors. So if you think BCV is small, expect VWL to seem smaller.

I have to disagree. We stayed in a 1bedroom at VWl last week and visited a BCV 1 bdrm. The difference is very clear. The VWL unit is much larger than the BCV.Sitting on the couch in BCV I could actually touch the kitchen wall that divides the kitchen from the living room.In VWL it's not even close.BCV is smaller and it feels it,colors have 0 impact.

RotemanDan.... The following are the 1 bedroom sizes:

One Bedroom
BWV - 712
WLV - 727
OKW - 942
BCV - 726

I really don't think one square foot makes that big of a difference.

Below are the room sizes for the studios:

Studios
BWV - 359
WLV - 356
OKW - 376
BCV - 356

As you can see WLV and BCV are the exact same size.

I do beleive that the furniture and the decor make a big difference in how big a room feels.

Not that it really makes any difference to me, but these sizes were posted on a different thread:

VWL 1br - 727
BCV 1br - 719
BWV 1br - 712

When I looked at the BCV model, it looked about the same to me.
Disclaimer: I neglected to give it the 'kitchen wall' test... :teeth:
