My DS10 and I are taking a Disney Cruise during Spring Break with some friends. :cool1:

We have cruised RCL Grandeur of the Seas and PCL Grand Princess. How do they compare???

Thanks so much!!!

When are you going? Wonder or Magic? We have cruised both Disney and RCCL. RCCL to Bermuda and Alaska. Disney 3, 4, and 7 day. We prefer Disney but RCCl is not far below Disney standards. Disney is cleaner, more polished and staff is more attentive. The food is about the same in my opinion but the buffets and drink stations on Disney are more organized, refreshed more often and cleaner. The public bathrooms on Disney are always cared for. RCCL you will sometimes get an overflowing trashcan or out of paper stall. This was hard for me to take at first. I was always comparing to DCL. After a day or two, I stopped the comparison. I had a great time on RCCL despite it not being "Disney". So you have a choice, always go on Disney and have the very high Disney standards and limited ports of call or diversify and go on other cruiselines because of their varied itineraries and enjoy them as well. Disney is much more expensive and you have to put that in the mix as well. We loved our cruise to Alaska (RCCL) as a matter of a fact, it was one of our most memorable vacations, because of the spectacular destination. The cruiseline was secondary to the intinerary and RCCl did a good job overall.

We are doing the 7 day Magic and are very excited. I've noticed at the Disney Resorts how much cleaner they are than the Universal Resorts and Parks. I am glad to hear that the Cruise Line is the same way.

Thanks for your response.!!!

Nothing compares to DCL....

IMO RCCL Mariner of Seas and Navigator of Seas is closest....

Just spoke to my mother, she was on one of the older RCCL ships this week. She said she'd been spoiled by the Magic, that the staff on RCCL was not as friendly, food wasn't as good, and cabin fell short of DCL standards. Per my mother the ice bucket was tiny, the shower curtain was torn on top, and all the carpets needed to be cleaned. She also felt she was charged for EVERYTHING !!! Now if only DCL would go to Alaska, Hawaii, and Europe !
