I'm trying to decide if we should rent a car or not. We stayed at All Star Movies back in Feb. 09' Overall we were content with the bus service. I think we only had one long wait after Wishes in MK. I know a lot of people complain about the values sharing buses but I don't see how this is different than a bus making multiple stops at moderate resort. :confused3 We also found that a marjority of the time we didn't share at all.

We have booked a 6 night stay at POR for this November 28th. I have heard people say on here that buses are often crowded and standing room only. I have also heard there are multiple stops at this resort and waits can be very long.

Can anyone tell me if the bus service is better or worse than what is usual at All Star Movies? We have two kids with us ds 6 and ds 2, I don't know if it would be easier to just use Disney's transportation or not?

I've never stayed at POR but I have stayed at POFQ and I can tell you when they share buses to the parks FQ is picked up first so even if you are at the first POR stop there will already be people on the bus. At park opening time it seems they usually don't share. They also drop off at FQ first coming back from the parks when they share. Hope this helps.

I stayed at POFQ and we shared almost every time with Riverside - even during park opening and closing. I was always so glad that we were first on and first off. Sometimes we'd have a big crowd get on at POFQ and it would already be standing room only by the time we got to Riverside. I was very surprised at how much we shared buses with them as I thought it would only be occasionally.

You'll get horror stories about both resorts - and all the others too.
You'll get glowing reports about both resorts - and all the others too.

In the end, there really isn't any difference between the bus transportation at any of the WDW resorts. Its all in the luck of when you get to the bus stop, the time of day, the phase of the moon.

Not really true. When stayed at POR in September, we rarely shared with POFQ and when we did, POFQ was picked up last.

There's no rhyme or reason that can be relied upon with bus service. We were happy with the buses and didn't find it to be any better or worse than other resorts. I think any resort can have good or bad bus situations on any given day.
