Please compare the Magic Unicorn roller coaster to Goofy's Barnstormer for me. I have a 6-y-o and 3 1/2 y-o who are new at roller coasters. It sounds like they should be able to do this, but just wanted any thoughts you might have.

They are both for the young and young at heart, ;) but the unicorn is faster and taller in my opinion. My 3 year old loved it just as much though!!!

Hope that helps.

Flying Unicorn picks up speed a lot faster than the Barnstormer. The end brakes on the Flying Unicorn are the hardest I've ever encountered. It tosses you forward and slams you back!

I don't remember anything specific about either ride, but I do remember that my 6 yo DD went on both with me and didn't have a problem with either one. She's not a really into thrill rides yet --give her some time and she'll be riding Dr. Doom and the Hulk with Mom and Dad -- but she was OK on both Goofy's Barnstormer and the Flying Unicorn. I hope that helps.

YIKES - I just read Barry's post and I hope I'm not giving the wrong information. Perhaps you should ride it yourself one time and decide if it's okay for the kiddos.

Dont forget woodys coaster as well at US my kids loved that as well :jester:

Of the three coasters, Goofy's, Unicorn, and Woody's, my then (almost) 3 year old liked Unicorn the best!

She LOVED it! Kept yelling "AGAIN" "AGAIN"! lol

It's definitely the fastest (and I think longest?) of the three.

I agree with the other poster, the brakes are awful. Hold on to your 3 yr old when stopping!

I agree. The Unicorn is the fastest and longest, and the brakes do slam on at the end. But it was my five year olds favorite ride (she insisted on going on four times!) , and fun for everyone else in the family too. Goofy and Woody are tamer and shorter. As a matter of fact, my son said about Woody, "that was fun, but it was the shortest ride in the world! They need to make it much longer!"

What my kids did was they rode Woody and Unicorn about 10times in a row and me and dw had a rest:jester:

Not necessarily...

Shorter rides are:
Drop Zone at Paramount's Kings Island (about a 10 second freefall)
Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point (about 20 seconds long)

The Nuthouse is close to a minute.

All three of the coasters (Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster, The Flying Unicorn, and The Barnstormer at Goofy's Wise Acre Farm....got to love proper nomenclature!) are very similar. They are built by Vekoma (same people who did Disney's Rockn'RollerCoaster Starring Aerosmith). It is a type of coaster called a "Roller Skater" or "Junior Coaster". The standard model is kind of cute with all the cars looking like little sneakers...but anyway. There have been quite a few put in parks around the world. The Flying Unicorn is a larger model, and does get a bit more speed before hitting the brake run, but I think if you can do one, you can do them all. Nuthouse is the standard small model and Unicorn is the standard large model. If you want to know more about them, go to

www.vekoma.com
click on "rides"
Under the heading of "family rides" the first option to click is "junior coaster"
There you will find out all the stats you could ever want to know.

If you want to know what Rockn'Roller Coaster looks like outside the building...click on "LSM Coaster". There you can see the stats, and see pictures of the standard one at Six Flags Holland. It is an exact copy of RnRC without a building.
