It occured to me tonight that on our upcoming trip there will be no male to go to the bathroom with DS. He does not need much help but needs some and there is no way I can just let him in a mens restroom. He is not going to be happy with me taking him into the womens either ... actually other women probably would not be thrilled with that as well since he will be 12 on this trip. Anyway I remember using a companion bathroom at Epcot and really liked it. Are there more around Disney that I have just missed before? Are they marked on the maps?

Yes, there are companion rest rooms in every park. They are signed when you get there, but not marked on the normal maps. If you ask at Guest Relations, they'll be able to give you a map for guests with disabilities, which has them on.

Yes there are many companion bathrooms scattered through the parks. Actually my dh wished a father of two girls about 10 years old would have used the companion bathroom. He said it was very un-nerving with these two girls running all over the mens bathroom.

Thanks so much sue I didn't recheck that sorry. I guess I must have scanned over it. I didn't know they had a map at the park for guests with disablities. :) That should make things a lot easier.

That's Ok.
Just to clarify, it's not a map. It's a guidebook and it's not very detailed, but does give some basic information.

ms mckenna, WDW does have "companion" bathrooms in several areas in every park. My DH needs my assistance, one of the reason we continue to vacation in WDW. The only problem with it that we have seen, is in the hotel. An early checkout, flying, etc. can cause problems. As far as we have seen, most WDW hotels do not have the "companion" bathrooms. This has caused us some problems. Otherwise, a trip to WDW, is probably the most convenient you will come across. Good Luck!
