Comp Tickets vs. One Day Park Hopper Guest Tickets

I am a non-Florida (salaried) cast member of many years. I receive comp tickets twice per year (summer and winter) and am very familiar with how they work. These are the ones with no block-outs that I can use for myself or give away.

My question is actually about my college-aged daughter. She was a Seasonal Disney Store employee for approx 9 months. (Because of covid, they never converted her from seasonal to part time). She resigned in August 2021 (to go to college). Her store subsequently closed about a month after that. On the day she resigned, her manager told her to go onto The Hub and print out her "One Day Park Hopper Guest Tickets" before she lost access to The Hub. All-in-all, she has 6 of these tickets, none of which have passed their expiration date yet.

We took a good look at the tickets today, and it looks like she needs to be an active employee to use them? They have a picture of Chip & Dale on them for clarification. I think that, unlike my comp tickets, these tickets have block-outs. But, we weren't aware that she couldn't use them after her employment ended? I just wanted to double check with you all if that's accurate. We are trying to figure out why her manager told her to log into The Hub and print them out if she wouldn't be able to use them anyway.

Thanks!

That is accurate. She must be actively employed to use these tickets. If you have access to the Hub you can go to DTools HR and search for complimentary tickets and usage and read the PDF file.

I heard some people were able to convert the Chip and Dale tickets to regular comps when they lost their jobs due to store closures. I'd check with the HR dept number from the closing..

Thank you! We were reading the small print on the ticket itself and says it has to be used "in conjunction with the valid Employee Self-Admission Pass". We were trying to understand the rationale of her manager saying to print out her tickets before she lost access to The Hub. I think we were hoping there was a workaround to use the tickets.

Thanks! I may have her pursue this route on the off chance they can convert them.

I think the manager probably did not understand the details of the Chip&Dale seasonal tickets. They often do not know all the ins and outs. I know before the seasonal had to still be employed; it was difficult for TDS seasonals to use them at all, as they would be released after holidays. Some would try to quickly get to the parks in early January. Of course, maybe they made allowances for store closures, but I never heard that. We closed in March so our seasonals were gone, or had been upgraded to permanent.
