Comp Tickets from WDW

Hi there. We received complimentary 2-day park hopper passes from Disney due to some issues we had in the fall with our stay at WDW. We can't use them as part of a package, nor can we add days to them, which pretty much renders them useless to us unless we are taking a long weekend to visit WDW.

We are coming to DL in August. Does anyone know if they would let us redeem them for two-day hoppers at DL instead?

I don't know that we have much, if any, data on this. Regular WDW tickets can be used, but I'm not sure if these types of promotional ones will be accepted. What's the fine print say? Any language on your ticket indicating that it was a promotional ticket?

That's just it. I don't have tickets. I only have an email from guest communications with a confirmation number. It only says they expire in 2032 and can't be upgraded or used to meet package qualifications (ie to add to a room for free dining). Otherwise it just tells us to go to Guest Relations to pick up the tickets.

Ooooh interesting. Well, the first tidbit I have is to write them back and ask. You have nothing to lose. That said, while I hope I'm wrong, I have a feeling they probably won't bite. Though the parent company is the same, DL and WDW are still very, very different animals with different management and so I'm not sure how cooperative they'll be. Worth asking though.

I concur that your best bet is to write and see what can be done. From what I've read, the tickets have to have been activated in WDW (i.e., used at least once) before you can use them gain entry into DLR.
