My kids loved the Community Hall at SSR this summer!

We are staying at BCV over Christmas and I understand they do not have a Community Hall, but BWV does.

Am I correct in assuming that anyone (not staying at BWV or even DVC) can use the Community Hall at BWV? As far as I know, anyone can use SSR's community hall?

Just looking for something fun for my kids to do one day when we're not doing parks, and don't want to schlep all the way over to SSR (although of course, the SSR spa could be an idea for me -- don't think DH wants to do the spa!)

Thanks! Vicki

You'll need to ask the CMs that staff the Community Hall. AFAIK, it's intended for the guests of the BWI & BWV only. But I have read reports of the CMs allowing others - maybe it depends on how busy they are at the time.

Do your kids like mini-golf? You are close (walking distance) to the Fantasia Gardens mini-golf course.

Thanks Carol - I guess that's maybe what we'll have to do. Do you think I'm wrong about the SSR community hall -- I've read a few posts here where people said anyone could use the SSR hall to do ceramics, etc. We were staying there when we went there, so of course, I had no need to ask!

I have no idea - again, I'd ask the CMs who work there.

It is quite common for people from BCV to go over to the Boardwalk Community Hall. You are not required to show a room key to prove that you are staying at the resort and the CMs will welcome you just as if you were staying there. :) If you feel more comfortable asking if it is okay, by all means do so!

The only thing you might want to know is that you can only rent out DVDs/VHS from the Boardwalk Community Hall if you are staying at that resort. The Marketplace at BC will have the DVDs for BCV guests to rent there.

The BW Community Hall did have some fun crafts for Christmas last year that they were offering for free. I don't know if they will have them this year though. Hopefully they will as there were some that were pretty cute... and free is always good! :)

Enjoy your trip!

Thanks so much for the confirmation! No need to rent DVDs -- we're usually a little too busy to do any movie watching at DisneyWorld! LOL!

If you see this, can I ask one more question -- where is the Community Hall -- I haven't been over to the Boardwalk Inn or BWV for years and have never stayed there.

T..... where is the Community Hall -- I haven't been over to the Boardwalk Inn or BWV for years and have never stayed there.
It's right next to the BWV quiet pool.

Yep! If you know where the main pool is, you are just going to go past that, to a path next to the water (which is the path to DHS), make a left and follow that shortly until you see a pink building. That is the Community Hall!

We Community HAll "hopped" from OKW and had no issues. The CM at OKW CH even called over in the morning to find out what activities were offered at SSR. I never thought to ask if it was OK--and since the OKW CH CM called over, and said she had some guests at OKW wondering what the SSR activities were for the day, I assumed it was fine to go over (and we did). Elaine
ps--our kids really like BWV CH.
